Tents and stuff

Howdy. 2009 will be my third year at BRC and for the first time I'm going not going solo. I will have about 7 virgins with me and I'm really looking forward to bringing folks out to see the amazingness of it all. When I've got in the past I have completely skipped the tent issue and slept in the bac...

These are great replys and really say a lot. There are things to gain in being alone. You face yourself and you have so many choices laid out in the desert. Sometimes there's a sadness but that is not to say the conections aren't even more powerful by counter point. For the first time I will be goin...

I'm not saying I was lonely the whole time and I met plenty of great people. There are simply times in the dark of night and the inharent emptiness of the desert that makes one feel extra alone.

All things seem magnafied at the Burn.

As for that 5 day relationship Ninja, I doubt that is the norm.

The Lonley Burner

Hello, I had a wonderful time at my second Burn this year and the time I went before was 2003, so it was almost like starting over. There were some trends I saw though. Couples. Everyone seemed to have a partner. I was honestly shocked to see so many peoples conected at the waist. Maybe I shouldn't ...

That I do. A few short comedies and a Cop comedy along the lines of Upright Citesence Brigade meets Monty Python. I'd love to show them if it works out.

Looking for a camp!

Second Topic, same subject. I went to the Burn in 2003, it's been a long time since I've been around. I require very little to survive and most I will be taking myself obviously (food Water Bedding) However I'm not sure if I'm up for the lone Ranger thing again! I really want to be part of a communi...

Sounds great to me. I'm a film maker and many other artists think just because you don't have the typical interaction of other art forms, that film and tv is not interactive. completly bogus notion, The Rocky Horror Picture Show dispelled that myth years ago.

Famous movie Reads

As a film maker I thought it might be fun to throw together a sort of performance show that specializes in people either writing there own scripts and collecting people to act them out or getting famous movie scripts (which I would provide) and having cold readings playing your favorite parts and cu...

This sounds great, as an artist who does film work its rare when you get a chance to show your work at BRC. It's not like your a musician, painter or the like, it takes a lot more time to create a film. I've got shorts and features that are mostly comedies and fun stuff shot around Sacramento. Tell ...

Lone Burner needs a home camp!

Well it has been 5 long years since I've been to the Burn and through a fortunate set of circumstance I will be going this year. Last year was my first time and I was on my own. As amazing as the experience was I'm thinking I would love to be a part of something a little bigger. Anyone need some hel...

Oooh! I almost forgot, the first time I drove onto the Playa i was listening to The Police. The song was Message in a Bottle. Surprisingly fitting for the event.

"A hundred million castaways looking for a home."

Almost everything on the "Floater" album "Burning Sosobra". Even the picture on the front is the spitting image of The Man.

I'm a nice guy, I have no problem finding girls. But with all the boring, trivial, Paris Hilton wannabe, career obbsessive, sorority-minded, backstabbing women that I seem to meet of late. You know I'm starting to think that I am destined to meet my one and only on the Playa. To meet someone clearmi...

When I went to the Burn the first time in 2003, I was in awe of the Death Guilds costumage. Does anyone have any tips on how to put together some of this Mad Max style gear? Thanks.

Yikes, I did not expect this sort of reply! In all honesty it was a sort of hypothetical idea. I saw quiet a few people(mainly men) doing henna, message, and painting on various folk, many wich were young, visually apealing women. I kinda wanted to figure out how one does this sort of thing . Thanks...

I think that secretly everyone wants to paint other people, but is it wrong? Should you feel the catholic brimstone as you ask a beautiful girl if you can paint her body? Or should you drive headfirst into the orange fence? The questions keep coming![/quote]
