Re: Hiya! Seattle lurker finally saying Hello =)

When trying to find friends, we make a plan to meet at Center Camp on a certain day. Like Monday night at dusk. Actual times are squishy and it's rude to ask what time it is on the Playa. It's always now. If you want to ride down with a group from Portland with a stop at Summer Lake Hot Springs (Ven...

Re: Ladyface in Alaska

Have you found the ridehsare page ? I posted a rideshare there. We are a Portland Oregon area crew and I have room for two. You can even camp with us. You would not need too pack your own water as I have plenty. We leave Portland Oregon on Saturday and then leave the playa on Saturday around noon be...

Get a ticket

As it's getting pretty close, get your hands on a ticket. If you get a ticket you will find yourself taking care of the rest pretty quickly. Bread molds super fast there so I suggest not bringing it. Instead, bring nuts, dried fruit, and I buy lots of those instant noodle dishes. A backpacker stove ...

too much weight !!!

I ditto on the small harbor freight trailor. You can also buy them at Fred Meyers if you live where they are. About $230. You have to put it together and add the floor and sides. Unlike another poster said, they tow fine at freeway speeds. But you should never tow at high speed with any trailor. Kee...

What did you offer for the drink ? A massage ? A gift ? A trick ? A kiss ?Anything ?

I've taken to the act of offering something with no expectation of return. And guess what ...

What are you bringing to the game ? Maybe plenty, but it's not clearly stated.

but ...

If you are willing to take the sides off and the roof loose when you are not in camp it will be fine. If you are a raging alcoholic you probably won't be able to consistantly remember to do this. Use some rebar and add guylines to the corners. Then when you leave camp take the roof and sides loose s...

water at Eagles Nest

for the past 3 years I leave my water jugs empty and fill them at Eagles Nest. It's super good well water ! They have never charged me. They do ask that people who "hook up" to the electrical service pay a small fee. Of course you can call or write them for information. Last year the park was closed...
