Re: Biggest MOOP in the history of Burning Man

I think there is some misguided expectation that art cars and mutant vehicles are built specifically for the public to climb on and ride. There is a finesse and tact to working your way onto an MV. The only public part of these privately owned vehicles is to look at and be entertained by the awesom...

Re: Biggest MOOP in the history of Burning Man

Full disclosure: I hate the 747. As someone who has worked their ass of to bring different art projects to the playa and I consider myself radically inclusive, I’m still entitled to my opinion that this is a lame as shit, overly ostentatious display of wealth. “Look what kind of logistics we can pul...

Night at the climb in

This is the piece that makes me wish I went the most this year. All the expensive, techy over engineered shit with a million addressable LED’s and lasers is cool but a dangerous AF stack of skewered cars is fucking art. Did any eplayans climb it before it was closed down? Plz share stories or pics a...

It's a damn shame the day that actively campaigning to encourage people to be weird at burning man is the appropriate response to the dying off of the culture.

I've never met AntiM or MyLarry on the playa, or most eplayans for that matter. But I have known AntiM for years over the internet and remember many stories and mentions of her amazing husband.

I am so, so terribly sorry for your loss. You are in my heart this day.

Re: Input on bringing my dude Big Daddy Crawler (a tracked vehicle) next year

Honestly dude, your rig is sweet but it's probably not the right candidate for a tracked MV. Think a shit ton of energy to get it out there, lotsa space on a trailer that could be better utilized by couches, and totally completely unnecessary to bring your own heavy equipment to Burning Man. If you ...

+1 for making your own theme. It's fucking Burning Man.

First year I went I wore a tutu on Tuesday, then I remembered that I should be expressing myself and not fitting in.

I refuse to wear white on wednesday. Everyday is socially appropriate boner day. Thats my list.

Show no Tickets Usergroup

First thing that happened is I was no longer a member of the "Show no Tickets" group. I re-joined yesterday and after a brief period of a forum unclogged of ticket postings when I logged back in today the ticket posts are all visible again. I check and I am still a member of the group.

Personally, I'd take the Ford and the trailer. Think of all the cool crap you can put on that trailer! Barbecue grills! Structures! Art! Or maybe ditch the trailer and just drive the truck. Comfort is one thing I think about when deciding which vehicle to drive across the country, I'm tall and I lik...

Re: Hiring a driver for semi truck or tailer haul

Uship is great but maybe not so great for burn shipping, I highly doubt any of the independent or hot shot truckers on that site will have experience with delivering to BRC or access to outside service provider credentials to make a delivery to BRC, so you'd likely end up contracting hauling to Gerl...
