I played a ton of what you're talking about.
Heya, GlobalRuckus here. I played two sets at the Hookah Dome outside, one at the Black Rock Boutique and two at Dustfish. Thursday early evening (HD), Saturday day (BRB), night (DF), into sunrise (HD), Sunday night (DF again). My good friend Joro Boro (formerly of New York's ground zero gypsy beats...

Thanks for the schnorse shot Angeliu
I'm so excited to find my first picture of my schnorse or musk wolf costume. I was the guy at center camp with the big fuzzy scary toothed monster that I was riding around on.
Thanks!
Kurt
Thanks!

careful application
His application efforts were careful enough that talcum powder didn't go everywhere. I was aghast that someone would invite himself over for a visit to our kitchen while we're eating, sit down, and start applying talcum powder to his balls in plain view of everyone. Ewwwww, hey, we're eating here!

kitchens......
That reminds me of a few years ago when "The Bubbler" (iblowbubbles.com) decided that sitting in our kitchen while he applied talcum powder to his sac would be a good idea.Juju wrote:If they'd gone at it in my kitchen chillspace tho, there'd have been a problem.
It wasn't.

Re: Absolutely!! Wait,.. What?
I agree totally! Wait,... What am I agreeing with? I guess I should just trust you, right? Actually, thanks to child labor and the sweet suffering that comes along with it, my shoes are cheep! I get them when I'm in Thailand. $5.00 a pair for any shoe you can think of! That's the cool side of child...

Eggchair
One year this couple got in the Eggchair and put on this full on sex show. Then some rangers or LEO came by and shut it down and essentially told the Eggchair folks that if they let it happen again they could be fined. So they were being held for the actions of those using their ultimate sitting dev...

getting it on in other peoples spaces
I followed a couple into our Pyromid because I was headed in anyway to turn the lights on. Talked to them a minute as they admired the structure then I fired up the generator. Suddenly realized that there was another couple getting it on in the corner. The first couple wanted to see it lit up so the...

I've started a campaign to get us Pyromidians on the Guca tip. At this point it seems the most appealing to me of all the things I've been looking at event wise next summer. That and being a Pink Martini groupie for their European summer tour. No tents, no playa dust. Sounds good to me.

Bigger fish to fry???
Does that mean I can hope to see you all at the Guca music festival next year?

I'm seriously thinking of passing on Burning Man to go to that.

Female BLM cop was being total hard ass on Sunday night.
Not sure if it was the same one, but a female BLM cop rushed in and busted the people doing the 10 foot tall copy of the original man burn (where the man burned the night before). She then proceeded to call in reinforcements, one of which threatened to jail somebody if we proceeded with our schedule...

Great shots. Here's some more. I was stunned by the awesome shots Steve Fritz from Camp Pee Pot took this year. Check this out http://home.comcast.net/~burningman/bman.htm
Sunday afternoon?
Buckethead alien, Is it possible that the wind took the generator and kite? If the kite was big enough that people could actually hang from the line, would it be possible to take off with the generator in that massive dust storm that kicked up? I got totally brutalized by my kiteboarding kite while ...

a little trepidation
I was also beckoned to the feely box. Reached my hand in and I believe there was a woman in there. I got too nervous to really check
so I just gave her a massage. Was I suppose to just grope freely? I never knew. I hoped the massage was nice for whomever.

Here's the one image I have so far. Good to know what it looked like from a distance since I have no clue what's going on off the top of my head. Thanks to Steve Fritz for the pic. 5 bikes out of 40 people... that's not good.
We had five bikes go missing out of our camp of 40 people (not all had bikes). Mine disappeared while I was sitting not 20 feet away in my camp chatting with friends and it didn't even have a pedal. I'm still searching. Silver Marin mtn bike, one pedal, anyone? Three bikes in our camp were recovered...

Pyromid/Eggchair RIP
This was the last year of the Pyromid (and I'm pretty certain the same is true for the Eggchair). Thanks to all of you that have come to our burns or partied in the Pyromid over the years. It's been a blast. Sorry that we couldn't put on the elaborate Death Battle we wanted this year. The BLM really...

Re: Some Theme Camp Goes Rude and Distructive
This year seemed much different. There were a lot of belligerent drunks, angry "gift economy=this is mine" arsholes, viscous vandals and plain thieves out there. I don't blame any other theme camp for closing their doors some of the time. I personally witnessed destruction of art installations, and...

Guilty
I stumbled on to the Johnny-on-the-Spot installation sometime on Saturday and seeing people inside, crawled in myself. I didn't know what the intent of the art was, but upon getting inside, found the walls covered with hand prints and the few people there adding their own. There was a pool of water ...
