Spent 5 grand to get the transmission replaced on my Audi. Then the transfercase goes and cost me another $1200. FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. At least I get to ride to the burn in comfort but FUCK was that painful. If something breaks down on the way to the burn I'll have it towed to Butte and blown...

Re: Contractor bags work best

Just make sure you keep your contractor bags 50lbs or less or a garbageman somewhere will be hating you. Just because you can stuff 100lbs of crap into one doesn't mean you should.

Re: Medicinal marijuana risk

Probable cause is telling a Cop you have weed or they can see pot paraphernalia in your camp, car or tent. If you have weed in your tend and they search without probable cause the charges will get thrown out when it goes to court, you just have to stick to your guns. Pretend you are 15 and don't wan...

Re: We need tips for buying a used RV

What is your price range and how big does it have to be? Also what are your preferences in regards to fuel economy? Also how long do you plan on keeping it? If you plan on doing lots of driving with the RV I would highly recommend getting a Coach bus converted into a motorhome. They are built with h...

Hiwheel/boneshaker/PennyFarthing Bicycle on the playa

I was considering bringing one of these to BM 2012 as my secondary form of unpowered transport, primary being a sensible lit up fuzzy mounain bike. Does anybody know of anybody ever using one of these bicycles on the playa or have and advice regarding it? You sit up about 50 inches off the ground bu...

Re: School Bus 101, long technical post

Hills didn't agree too well with my bus, had to stop at the top and let it cool down a bit a few times. I would hit them doing 70 but would almost always have to downshift all the way to 2nd and crawl up the hill at 25. Mind you its a 40 year old bus and weighs 36k pounds so I just threw on the haza...

Remember too that alternators are designed to maintain one battery and run accessories only. Repeated chargings of a dead agm battery may reduce the life of your alternator. Just remember that if you have a 12 aH battery, divide the total time by two because you never want to drain your battery to 0...

If it can't fit in a minivan+utility trailer, next size up go with a diesel. Finding one will be tough though as many rental fleets only have gas pots for medium and light movers.

Diesels perform much better underload. I opted for a diesel bus simply because it gets better fuel economy. Even though it has a larger engine than a gas counterpart, its not working nearly as hard as say a 318 pulling the same load. Where a 318 or 360 will be redlining up the hills or overworking t...

I would recommend trying daily disposable contact lenses, bit more expensive than your regular set but if they get coated you can replace them. In addition you could try getting a pair of goggles with a better seal. Basically if you have goggles that fit over your glasses they are going to be big.

Just drive a little slower on the hill climbs than what you would normally do otherwise and reference the maximum towing capacity and go from there. Absinthe has never been illegal up here. Absinthe was legalized in 07 stateside and Thujone content is limited to 10 ppm or 10mg/kg. Pernod Is borderline legal. Wormwood is a flavoring and Thujone is toxic. Before you could get any hallucinogenic properties from Thujone you would die from toxicity. ...
