In case you missed the announcement in Jack Rabbit Speaks, the 2012 version of the "Time To Burn" app is available in the Apple store.

The android version should be released in the next day or two.

I don't know about the status of iBurn but I am definitely updating/releasing my iPhone app "Time To Burn" and I have a friend who has promised to port it to the android platform.

The update for 2011 just went live today.

Be sure to grab it, since one of the enhancements is to allow you to add events into your device's calendar

One addendum to this, is that they opened the gates a couple hours early last year. Here's hoping they continue the trend this year!

There is an API, but it doesn't provide all the information I need (it lacks the event type, camp location, etc) so I use the API to grab 80% of the data, then use an automated scraper I wrote to extract the rest.

Also, someone asked if it would work even without cell coverage. The update contains the entire event database LOCALLY. No connectivity is required once the update is installed. In other words, you would be able to find "all events that mention Mojito on Tuesday" while on playa, even with your phone...
