Safe travels

In about 12 hours, or a bit less, I'll be on the road to BRC for one one more visit.

Here's a wish for a safe trip for everyone. Here's the desire that all will have the perfect burn, for them. And here's my ass as I head out the door.

Be safe, have fun, and drive carefully all.

Bonus points if you can unhinge your jaw.

(True story a campmate once went to the exodus line looking to bum a ride. He had a sign that read, "Need ride to Reno. Can unhinge jaw."

He got a ride. :) )

I love the idea of marrying the cannon to a different MV and agree that if prior warning was given then the DMV looks even less deserving of name calling. Doc, like I said it always sucks to be told, "no," and I'm sorry that happened to you this year. The odds are pretty good that in some ...

Got it. :) Yeah, I have nothing to say about Doc Pyros discussion with DMV as I don't have the information I'd need to make such an opinion.

Hmmmm. I'm not seeing how my pointing out that calling folk, 'nazi,' isn't likely to get them to listen to you equates to either a misconception that it is easier to say no than yes or to a kind of passive acceptance.

I bet some of them do. Seems to me that this is a very tricky subject and a great illustration of why various negative attitudes form. No one is happy when they are told, "no," but no one is likely to change when they are called a 'nazi,' either. Take the real need to limit motorized rigs ...

I don't get the notion that it's insulting to see someone ask for free tickets. Why is it insulting?

I don't feel insulted when I see a beggar asking for cash on the sidewalk. What's so insulting about someone asking for a freebie? Just say, no. ;)
