"Isnt that all about drugs, sex, and naked chicks?" "Why do you want to do that?". ... Why wouldn't you want to do that? Fair enough :D But do you want that to be the only thing that most people think about BM? When I first heard about BM I was reading about it as an art festival/community. That wa...

I dont see a problem with these girls expressing themselves the way they want to. The issue that has come up to me is that raves used to be all about the music. Now its come down to more of a dress as slutty as you can. At one point it was a novelty to see girls like this. As you read through the co...

But it will be an awesome experience. You going solo? Joining a camp? I plan on going solo. From everything I hav...

Great thread! Thanks for all the good theme camp info. I didnt even quite understand that you had to be vetted and accepted into a camp. After reading up on all the juicy details... and some of the other stuff... it seems to be a good idea to go solo my first year out. I have experience in carpentry...

You do indeed need to love the rain in the Northwest. In case Fishy was cryptic, as a heavy equipment operator, you'd be a great volunteer for DPW (Department of Public Works). Here's a link: http://www.burningman.com/participate/dpw.html haha thank you. I missed the burning man correlation there! ...

Heavy equipment operator, huh. Do tell us if DPW salivates over you... Its more like the PNW salivates all over me 8-9 months out of the year. Gotta love the rain! Im trying to decide whether or not to rent a tow behind RV or buy a VW Bus. Also, what do you do for showers? Do a search of these forums, or google it. It's camping. For a week. In the desert. Most people don't shower. Some do baby wipes, others rig up other things - there's a plethora of informat...

. . . Would you enjoy it more if we told you it was wrong? Quite possibly! It is not wrong to be that excited. My first BRC experience was amazing. [quote="C.f.M."]It's wrong for you to be excited about Burning Man, period. It's pretty lame. According to their website, they're renaming it WHOOMPFEST2011 for next year, anyways. The good news, though, Starbucks will officially take over Center Camp (to be "Eurotrash Theatre"), so at least the cof...
