Amen to that. Ain't nothing to be gained by preaching to the converted on the playa.

"Liverace was a genteel, half innocent culture whore, gambling the soul of history on the craps table of showbiz, a strange, inbred cross between a philosopher and a drunk."

Re: WAR! What is it good for?

Simple question. ..Lets have your opinions burners on the big issue right now - W.A.R - most of this planet is at war right now so c'mon lets use our oh so expanded 'freethinking' minds to ponder WTF can be done about this shall we? What is war good for? Absolutely nothing, except for preserving th...

"Stand up, tall and proud (yet leaning slightly forward so you don’t get any [vomit] on yourself). After all, you should be proud. You just drank enough booze to make even an experienced drinker as yourself regurgitate." -Marc O'Maolain, "The Etiquette of Vomiting" Modern Drunkard Magazine, March 2003

your slip is showing

And finally, any good teacher does the work of 2+ people in the corporate world.
Haven't spent much time in the corporate world, have ya? I should be so lucky as to have one of your imaginary corporate jobs that are only half as strenuous teaching school for a whole 9 months a year.

deeper issues

School, schmool! If you're willing to let academic hogwash get in the way of a good party you've got serious problems, folks. Oh, and if you've reached adulthood without enough clever excuses up your sleeve to cut a week of school or work your high school education was woefully incomplete. Ordinem i...

Playa battle scars

The bruises have all healed.
The sunburn has peeled.

But I still can't feel the toes on my left foot. Damned numbness set in the night of the burn and won't seem to go away.

Oh well, it's good to be reminded of my playa adventures every time I take a step.

let me get this straight though - you have no criticsm of your goverment then and anyone who does shouldn't be allowed to come there? is that what you are saying - or perhaps you are saying you can't make any negative critical analysis of the US administration unless you live there? Leave it to a j...

Put your left foot in, take your left foot out...

Hmmm, JP / Chimp makes more outrageous claims! Let's take stock: 1. Desperate, transparent disavowals, I am not affiliated with 'The Left' "I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky," right? 2. BIG LIE style repetition of hollow leftist rhetoric, my post did not 'bash America' so much as the ...

Biodiesel isn't clean. Try people power instead!

The name "biodiesel" makes it sound eco-friendly and the independent nature of the supply chain is appealing, but it offers no improvement in tailpipe emissions and its lower energy content means fewer mpg (or kWpg). All the good intentions in the world cannot countermand the laws of stoichiometry a...

Diversity of thought is diversity too.

To quote a cliche: Minds are like parachutes...yadda, yadda, yadda This thread perfectly debunks the misconception that fascism is uniquely associated with the right wing, since such authoritarianism is the most likely means to enforce your wishes. It would be a shame if BRC morphed into some Zamyat...

Oh yeah, and make it SOLAR POWERED. I mean, are we eco-friendly and cutting edge or are we still a bunch of mindless gas-guzzling pseudo-alternative consumers? There's plenty of sun in the desert. Use it. Solar panels make good shade structure too.... 100,000 generators running 24x7 couldn't releas...
