Re: Cost Preparation
Actually made a spreadsheet, perhaps a bit nerdy oh well, and looks like if ticket costs are 1200 I can keep it at $1564 if I do things the very basic way. To even have a chance for a ticket, the FOMO is the one to buy. Main sale is a long shot. 2019 FOMO ticket was $1400,- and in addition the 9% e...

Hi,
you can join the Burnerpup in Amsterdam, every second Thursday of the Month. It is held in Radion, starts at 19:00 hr. Great way to meet Dutch Burners. And join the JRS.

Re: Ticket Sale Delay
Maybe the ticket sale is delayed due to the re-mooping by BMOrg which will have to take place in spring, as a result of the site inspection. They did pass in total, but with some notes.
This in combination with the government shut downs, would it be possible that the event will be skipped a year?

Re: Ticketfly for European purchases 2019
Last Year you couldn't use a complete European billing adress - but you could use ticketfly anyway. I was registered with my adress / Zip Code but had still United States as Country and a US State choosen in my profil. That worked well with "will call" tickets. BUT - there was not this "special not...

Re: Presale / main sale ticket: how to tell?
The price of the ticket is printed on the ticket.
So the $990,- pre-sale ticked will show the $990,- on it, same for all other priced tickets

Re: When do PreSale $990 tickets sell out - 2018
There is still a registration required for pre-sale tickets. If one did not register, no pre-sale ticket. The $990 are only available in the pre-sale. Also $1200 tickets are available in the pre-sale. Additional $1200 tickets, these will become available as from April 4 and a registration in order t...

Re: It all started in the year?
That’s a typo. But there’s really a lot more to it. Super briefly: Harvey burning his now-iconic wooden stick figure wasn’t originally the “Burning Man” you know at all. The whole event out in the desert thing wasn’t his idea, it was the San Francisco Cacophony Society. They held what they called a...

It all started in the year?
1986, right? The time line on the BM site starts in 1986. First Man burned on Baker Beach SF. However, the Building Burning Man Newsletter of 1993 (The Culture \ Historical publications) writes the following: "Yet back in 1985, when the first Man was burned.." Anyway, I like reading the newsletters ...

Re: Let the ranting begin!
Pre sale ticket is $990 (or $1200). Not $900. When entering the sale, there is a choice: $990 or $1200, until the $990 is sold out. And yes, it is an insurance. For foreign burners this is better because of preparation (flight, car / RV rental). The earlier the better and cheaper. The higher ticket ...

Re: Multiple ticket buyers at the same address
My suggestion to anyone trying to buy tickets in the main sale. Have identical names on your burner account, credit card and ticketfly account and mailing address. It's really not that difficult. And, don't forget to call your credit card company in advance. Let them know there will be a purchase. ...

Re: Multiple ticket buyers at the same address
Multiple people in the same house is okay, because families and roommates. However, remember that the name on the burner profile, ticketfly account, and credit card should all match or the order may be flagged for review by the ticket team. . Hi, question: By "name" you mean family name I assume? W...

Re: International burners - the challenge for not having a home in US
Hi, I am from the Netherlands and attended BM twice, 2012 and 2015. And I am planning for 2017!! If you can afford it, a RV is the most easy way to go. I fly to Las Vegas (bonus evening out), and pick up the RV in Henderson. The drive to Fallon (about 400 miles) is about seven and a half hours, with...

Tickets at Will Call
Hi all, I do not remember any topics about Will Call of last year post Burn. 2014 was terrible as I understand. So I prepared for the worse for 2015. However, 2015 Will Call was a breeze. On opening day, Sunday mid afternoon, only 45 minutes in line. Perfect. They made a bigger shade structure and a...

Re: Presale Tickets - How Difficult?
Last year pre-sale I pushed the link exactly at noon, and was immediately send to the buy tickets page, no queue. You never know, however the last years, pre-sales were not sold out in minutes, but hours. Indeed the main sale is drama, reading the board. The most "secure" sale is the pre-sale. It is...

Hi, welcome to Eplaya fellow Hollanders There are a lot of Dutch going to BM. In 2015 about 1200. And there are groups of Dutch people who camp together, and some placed camps. There was even a Dutch get together in BRC on Thursday. My suggestion would be to join the Facebook page: Amsterdam burners...

Re: Dutch Auctions are the answer for how tickets should wor
They probably didn't think that twice as many people would register for the individual sale as there were tickets. They might have decided it was worth $410 to take the risk, feeling that will a bunch of work they could find a ticket if they lost. You would expext that as from the first sell out in...
