Re: **ANXIETY**
Will one or both of my children (boys age 7 & 9) left in the careful care of my mother, fall and sustain a severe injury, prompting the school to ignore my careful crafted instructions that I am off the grid & unavailable & to call my mom in case of emergency, and instead try to call me multiple tim...

Re: What are you bringing to the Meet & Greet?
Okay, I decided. I made some frozen slush with fruit juice/fruits - it goes really well when mixed with Asti or sprite. I think I will bring that, and some bottles of Asti. I am excited to meet/see people in a couple of weeks!

Re: What are you bringing to the Meet & Greet?
I feel like I know everyone (from lurking more than anyone) and I really want to come to this - I could bring wine, or pickled okra, or really just about anything else - I think I'll start with the wine, though. I am excited to meet everyone!

Re: Volunteering
Not to hijack, but I had the same problem - months ago (in December of 2010) I gave my information for volunteering - I am an experienced RN, in school to be a Nurse Practitioner, and was interested in volunteering with the medical folks - I have never heard back from anyone. Is there a chance to ge...

Re: DIY Sports Drink
There are several similar recipes out there -they are based on the WHO rehydration drink recipes. In my office we use them for patients who have excessive GI losses, from high-output ostomies or surgical conditions leading to chronic diarrhea. One word of warning - it is possible to **overdo** the e...

I agree with oil change/air filter change - but as another poster said, not until you get home, or at least a couple of hundred miles away :) Also, this year I am considering putting a tarp over the front grill of my car. About 5 miles off the playa last year, my check engine light came on, and stay...

I have very fine, very thin hair. Last year it was past my shoulders. A braid on me just looks sad, so I put it in a french twist under my hat. After 4 hours, with the playa dust, I could remove the bobby pins and the french twist stayed in place... It was our first year, and our only means of hygie...

Another thing: is it an AT or 5 speed. The autos are good for about 125,000 miles. You've passed that. My torque converter started slipping this time last year at about 142,000 and had to replace the whole tranny. $1800. Went to 3 shops and they all said the same thing. Just some food for thought s...

Token - do you mean the rear springs on the car? I just got brand new shocks 5k miles ago, top shelf (or whatever you call the best of the best shocks) My mechanic has a side business building trailers, so I will likely enlist his help in, if not building, at least procuring a trailer, and will add ...

Towing with a VW diesel Jetta
Hi all. I have a 2004 VW diesel jetta with 170k or so miles on it. We will be driving for the second year from Layton Utah, and this year we are planning on towing a small trailer. I have read ad nauseum on the internet, and people have good success towing small trailers (as in a box/cargo trailer, ...
