Re: Need help! Playa staples from Iron Monkeys sufficient?

That's 2 confirmations playa staples are great for hexayurts!!! Doesn't look like they will work for the carport however. Looks like I'll use rebar ;) how do you bend rebar? I'd like to candy cane some myself.

Re: Need help! Playa staples from Iron Monkeys sufficient?

If u look on the link you see it says carports for the small. They said it is playa tested and approved. /shrug . As of now I'm gonna end up bringing rebar anyways which is what I bought the playa staples for so I wouldn't have to! Hehe This link is better btw, it's the store link. http://ironmonkey...

Hexayurt question: reflecting the sun on campmates?

Hello all. I just finessed taping all the areas I needed to tape before I start working on hinges. I have the panels sitting against the fence....and I've noticed how bright these things get!!! I'm wondering how awful is it to have a yurt in camp? Is it a solar death ray during the day? Just curious.

Re: Where to buy hexayurt panels? Can't find in town. Online

Left my name and number with a girl at home depot. She found none of what inwas talking about even after giving her the product SKU wich apparently changes state to state.

I usually have nonluck with leaving my name and number with a place though. I'll keep ya updated.

Re: Where to buy hexayurt panels? Can't find in town. Online

Yup, appears there is none to be had in Vegas.

What's the alternative? They have a all blue type insulation, I forget what it's called at lowes. That stuff work as well as RMax stuff? Is that foil side really that helpful? I'd assume it was......

Bah! I thought this would be the easy part!!!???

Re: Where to buy hexayurt panels? Can't find in town. Online

My high tech friend confirms it's not coming up. I went down to home depot and they had zero rigid insulation. And lowes could order what I needed in bulk order only. I keep striking out. I'll try talking to home depot customer service.....sigh.

Newb question: Ultimate backpack/bag? Fanny pack? Need input

Hello. Almost out of questions......got a lot done already. But I got one that I find myself thinking about a lot. What's playa proven to be nice and comfy to wear backpack/bag wise? I'm sure things change with outfits, and lengths of playa adventures ect. Normal backpacks? How about messanger bags?...

How many large items have u seen flying in the air at BM?

Hello. Newb Q! I'm just so curious I have to ask.

Have you seen, or how many items have you seen flying in the air at BM?
Tents? Tarps? Carports!!???

Is this common? Perhaps this question belongs elsewhere..... I'm so curious I thought I'd ask.
