Favorite Porta Potty Signs

I loved the porta potty etiquette when I came out to TTITD in 2011. I was surprised how often I came across clean dry seats. I want to bring this to a small local music festival. I remember there were signs either on the front or inside each of the jots that had pro-etiquette messages. The only one ...

Re: Memories From The Journey

Another thing we did on our journey was plan a few stops along the way based on restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. One was really good, the other not so great.

Re: Burning NAKED

I should note that I only read the beginning of this thread where people were discussing discomfort of seeing a man walk around with an unintended erection. A lot of people say they would be uncomfortable going to BM because of the nudity. Seems like most on here just tell these people that after a ...

Re: Burning NAKED

If it were legal, I would buy a ton of Viagra and hand it out to every nude male in BRC. We could wander around erect for a while and then we could, as a community, just get over it.

Re: Deodorant!

bring some baking soda. Pour a little in your hand and just a little bit of water. Mix it together until it forms a paste. Rub your hands together and then rub your armpits. You will still sweat, but you won't stink.

Memories From The Journey

Without question, from the time you get in line to enter Black Rock City until the time you hit the road to make your way home, you will have an unbelievable number of memorable experiences. But what about on the journey to Burning Man? The journey home? I wanna hear about some of those experiences....

Re: Nipple care on the playa?

Just go with the electrical tape X's over the nipples and then cut up some more strips of electrical tape to fashion a smile with a tongue sticking out. Now you have protected nipples and people will just think you have silly art on your torso. That's what I would do anyway. :P

Transporting Gear after flying into BRC

I'm considering an air charter to BRC this year. Once the plane lands, how do people transport their gear to the campsite?

http://afterburn.burningman.com/11/ Participants making the trek out to Black Rock City were rewarded with as hard-packed a playa surface as we've seen since 1996, and consistently glorious weather throughout the event week with nary a single whiteout the entire time (a warning to first-timers: thi...

Downloaded Social Distortion's Greatest Hits and put it on the ipod. Are there any other albums I want to buy for the road trip?

That's the question going through my head since I woke up an hour ago. I'll look on Amazon until I fall back to sleep.

I am currently undecided as to whether I will bring any alcohol to BM this year Have you lost your mind? Perhaps. I always keep hard liquor in the trunk because I don't drink at home, and don't want to mooch when I'm at a friend's place. I've heard a playa hangover is not something I want to experi...

Effect of playa dust on wool?

I have a thick wool cloak I bought from the local Renaissance Festival several years ago. I take it with me to music festivals and pretty much any time it might get cold when I go camping. I want to bring it out to BRC for those chilly nights I keep hearing about. I don't mind if the cloak develops ...

Re: Playa Vino

People take the movie Sideways too seriously. My understanding is that the main character's prized bottle of wine is either a Merlot.

Pinot doesn't have a rich enough flavor for me. I prefer Syrah/Shiraz and Merlot.
