The SuperConductor project is incredible! Can't wait to see it. Pls start a thread with your playa location when you know (if?). I love the gradients you're getting. You'll find me drooling in front of your art. Thanks! You should see it in motion! In fact, I'll be posting some videos of the softwa...

A little update on my cooler progress. Here's how she sits at the moment. http://www.carvergolf.com/images/swamper.jpg It's even a functional tote! I'm considering cutting two holes in the top and attaching valved dryer ducts so multiple spaces can be cooled at once. The valves should keep hot air f...

Experiencing both perspectives is a major component of my burn. Some people go really big the whole time, some are sober the whole time. I like to think I'm in the middle. Depending on what I'm eating, I usually go one day on, one/two days off. For value alone this important (I don't care much for t...

I'm bringing 2 cabinets, a cheap mixing board, xponent, old dell laptop, old ashley amp, possibly my old shure beta 87a mic if anyone in our camp feels we would use it. That's about it I think. Compressed air is your friend! If you don't have a compressor, at least bring some canned air for the fad...

Can you list more specifically the gear you're actually going to bring? It will be easier to give you tips with more info.

This will be our sixth year on the playa with sound (5 years on this http://www.jellyfish12000.com/Home.html); Vinyl, digital, touchscreens, cabs, amps, etc.

Just started on my swamper for 2011; using a 22 gallon tote, endless breeze fan, pump from siliconsolar.com, and haven't chosen a battery yet. I'll be out on the playa for 12 days this year, so comfort (at least part of the time) is a must. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread! Pict...

We use a vacuum sealer every year to pack good meals with minimal garbage. It's quite common within my local community of burners actually.

I wouldn't worry about compacting your trash, but I do recommend getting something with a lid to keep your garbage in (think ammo can).

We're extremely stoked to announce The SuperConductor is going to be partially funded by the BMORG! We still have about $5000 to raise (and of course a ton of work to do), but we're confident we can make it happen. We're throwing a party tomorrow to celebrate St. Patty's and the good news.
