I have a nice backpacking hammock that I love to sleep in. I was wondering if the playa dust would damage it or if its just going to be dirty.

I read in the survival guide that cars will be searched at the gate and to pack the car in a way that makes the search easy. How should I pack the car? I am going with a group and we have a lot of stuff. I don't want to hold up the line because we are poorly packed.
