How would a rainbow camp deal with the fact that shitting on hippies through a megaphone while irresponsibly wasting petroleum products between swigs of tequila is a commonplace activity at the Burn? If the answer is laugh, yell "I love you", and move right along then I think it's a fine idea. If t...

Death camp? Never saw that one. What's their deal? Heard of one that did massive structural work, plumbing and whatnot. They were so far out I never found them. I only saw them once but Death camp is pretty much the only camp Im really not okay with. They just seem to enjoy starting shit with peopl...

Tell that to Death Camp. They seemed to think it would be a good idea to throw fireworks into my camp one night in Allegheny last year.

i didn't drink from the stream....I didn't carry my bottle anywhere it was illegal. i DID see unattended pre-schoolers running around naked in the muck in CLOSE proximity to numerous illegal drugs and activities, i did see Krishnas actively recruiting into their CULT, and please, be hateful if that...

"then stay home, hippy, if you can't follow our simple rules.... GIFT SALMONELLA!" I never said I would be breaking the rules. If anything I was pretty clear why I personally wouldn't try to do a rainbow kitchen at the burn. Please dont make the assumption that because someone wouldn't sign a permit...

"So what I'm reading here, is it's a pot-luck / on-site make-luck / iron chef cook off. If your rainbow family is all together in the camp, you can do group meals like that no problem. After all you're sharing / keeping the food in the family." A rainbow camp that cooked food for itself would be all...
As long as the kitchen is for the camp, and the camp isn't serving to the public then you don't need a permit. Problem solved.
For it to be a rainbow kitchen it would be serving to the public. At gatherings most kitchens are for and by everybody and all the food that the kitche...

I think the main thing stopping a large rainbow presence at burning man is money. A significant portion of the family is dirt poor road kids. The tickets alone would be out of reach for most of us, let alone the supplies to survive in the desert. Theres also the fact that we love to set up communal ...

Rainbow Family at Burning Man?

Im not sure how many people going to the Washington rainbow gathering this year are also going to burning man. But would any rainbow family out there be interested in starting a rainbow family camp? Has this been done before?

Rainbow gatherings are a much less challenging environment. There are spring taps to provide clean water on site, kitchens to get food from, open campfires are allowed, plenty of natural shade, etc. You'll need much less equipment and supplies than you would to survive in the desert. There are peopl...

Best road to take for cars with low clearance?

I drive a first generation Honda Insight which if youve ever seen one, you know is very low to the ground. Ive been searching previous topics and have gathered that Jungo road is the last thing Id want to try. But Im wondering, what would be the safest way in to take for my tiny two seater? I will e...

Interested in spinning at your camp

Id love to DJ at your camp. Below is a link to a recent mix I recorded. I mostly do dubstep, ragga jungle, dnb, raggacore etc. but will likely be doing some dark psytrance mixes in the near future as well.
Let me know if you are interested.
