Re: Knots for holding crap down
This may be the place to ask my question. Can I use bungee cord to attach aluminet to the stakes. I would think the stretchiness might be a good thing in the wind.

Vegans a question.
As a diabetic vegan I use only unsweetened soy milk if I don't make it myself. Has anyone found a juice box sized brand?

Will a Trikke work on the playa?
I have a trikke which I rarely use because getting this to go uphill in my neighborhood is a skill I haven't mastered. The flat playa may be just the ticket to use it to full advantage. It doesn't corner well on gravel and it would probably bog down in sand/ silt of any great depth. Is it worth brin...

Re: Costume & Crafting Help
I am not a diver but I have a scuba suit. If I spray painted it black and added EL Wire would I be warm enough at night?

Bike Stand
As a birgin I do not plan an art project other than a super tricked out bike. I found this Italian thing that folds up for easy transport on Craigslist. This is my base. I spray painted it gold, all gold, even the tires. I will add solar rope lights and flashing lights in the wheels. I've rigged a r...

Another Question for Solar People
My father sold solar systems so I have some misc. stuff lying around. This unit is labelled charge controller. What do I do with it? Can I use this? I have a Trace 799 series inverter. I know it is overkiller but should I bring it or buy a smaller unit? What gauge wire runs between the panels and fr...

Question for Solar People
I have two Wagan Powerdome units for my cars. 400W, 600A peak cranking power, 18A hour DC. I have no particular plans for electricity other than a car vac to clean my tent and if I'm really decadent, charging my toothbrush. Assuming I come up with more uses can these be charge via a solar panel as t...

What do you think of Rollens?
I buy these in packs of 100. A uv blocking piece of plastic used as sunglasses. They grab the face and can be worn under eye glasses. When not in use they are worn around the wrist. Some may consider this borderline MOOP.

More on Pee Funnels and a question.
The Go Girl is great. Befoe I climbed Kilimanjaro I tried several funnel devices. Go Girl is right size and sheds liquid just a rinse with a bit of water will keep it clean. At one point on the mountain we were directed to go pee behind a huge rock. It seemed to provide the required privacy until I ...

Pee Jugs?
I understand the pee jug thing. Does this mean there is a long line of folks with jugs in hand standing at the port-o-potties in the AM?

1st OHIO TO BURN...RIDER WANTED
With the TSA bull going down, I'm not flying anywhere. As a people watcher who never has enough time to play, the Burn seems like a great thing to do this year. Maybe I'll make it a regular event. I used Mapquest to look at the route, good grief, it's 36 hours of driving. So I'm looking for a rider, ...
