Got in, was able to choose 2 tickets, but there was never a button to "add to cart"! What the hell?
But for some reason I was able to get a vehicle pass?
This blows...

Re: Suspension of Disbelief - giant crocheted playground
This small display got SO MUCH LOVE at the Maker Faire! Kids of all ages and sizes tried out the hanging 'pods' and spent some time learning how to crochet with our rope! I'm just so excited about the great response we're gonna get out on the playa!

Re: Suspension of Disbelief - giant crocheted playground
OhMyDog, this is getting exciting! The rope has arrived, we're just itching to get our paws on it, so any help you can send will get you lots of love from the SOD crew! And handmade thank you gifts! Believe you me, any bottle holders, pendants or pasties you get from me will have extra special Burne...

Re: Suspension of Disbelief - giant crocheted playground
Here's the latest design version, which will become a 4' diameter hexagonal panel. We have pattern instructions, so if you want to make one, just look at the Facebook page!

Re: Suspension of Disbelief - giant crocheted playground
As part of the SOD team, I'm really excited! The only crochet project that I ever successfully finished was a stocking cap about 40 years ago, so this is a challenge! But hey - if I can do it, anyone can! And Zoey's right - you can do a crochet piece anywhere and bring it to the playa! Join the Face...

Re: Best route to BRC from Seattle
That's good info, thanks! Google map isn't very helpful in figuring out how far the gate is from the Gerlach turnoff, but I suppose I shouldn't get too anal about planning, eh? I'm wondering, though, if we'd be better off timing our arrival for later in the afternoon on Monday, if there's a possibil...

Re: Best route to BRC from Seattle
Hi everybody! We're getting excited and panicked at the same time, as we have only 8 days before we leave Seattle! First timers here, so I'm sure we'll take too much of some stuff and not enough of important stuff, but I think we'll survive. We've acquired a partially converted city bus from another...

Hi from Seattle! First year for us, both Burning Man and Critical Massive! I hope you come to Critical in July, and if you do, make sure to come to S'mores Night! I'm hosting the "it's not just for kidz" adult s'mores party on Friday night! Oh and FYI - the potlucks are now on Mondays! Sign up for t...

Hey, we're 60+ Birgins this year too! I'm usually the oldest at all the events I attend, and have been really pleased that no one seems to give a shit! I Just keep reminding myself that t's all in the stories we tell ourselves I also know that it's up to me to be as physically prepared as possible, ...

Thanks Savannah! Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. I've watched a lot of video, watched and read a lot of interviews, talked to a lot of the local Burners. I know there'll be people I can turn to for support. I figure if I (and my marriage) could survive 3 weeks travelling in Japan last summer at ...

Another Seattle Virgin!
Hi all! I've been resisting the call to the Playa for several years, and finally decided to release all my fears and just go for it! This, my 61st year, is my Year of Yes, and what better rite of passage could there be than to challenge myself both physically and emotionally! I bought tickets at the...
