Re: Burner Express day question

I hate to flog a dead horse, but Feenix and I bought our Saturday BXB rides back in May 2014, before their site mentioned anything about EA passes being required for Saturday riders. This year we do not have EA. We then booked our flights from the midwest to land in Reno Sat morning and have it all...

Re: Burner Express day question

Gates open Sunday , not Monday (last year at 6pm, it hasn't been announced for this year). There are people who get "weekend-only" Early Arrival passes to help with last minute set-up of their placed camps (if you don't know what that is, you don't have one), the Saturday bus is to get those people...

THANKS to the 'There goes the neighborhood' Artist

I glutted out and took two halves on a cross country ride of two different frontier crossing vehicles - one has landed and been strung up in my office to prove to my staff that I do, in fact, Artist certifiably, with stars on it, have half a brain backing by directives. The other hangs in my midwest...

Re: "failed to match with our merchant bank"

Both my bank and the bank helpdesk operator I had on the phone while making the transaction disagree with that scenario. Every field I had entered initially were correct to the T - I then tested the variations to no avail (Like spelling "St", "St.", and "Saint" in Saint Louis, using dashes int he ph...

"failed to match with our merchant bank"

I got tix - yay! Thanks for being awesome. Good News aside, I got them because my playamate managed to survive the q and finalize the transaction. I was not so fortunate, and completed the q two full times and got the same dead end both times: The message below occurred after entering my CC info, fi...

Thanks All! Had a blast meeting many of you. Hope us Hookah Loungers didn't heckle you too bad on your way to Espresso Dude's camp in the early morning - even if you deserved it. Much love to Brain Freeze/Got Stickers, Espresso in the Morning, MASH 4207th, and Tsunami.

Hugs!

Brain Freeze / Got Stickers camp and Black Rock Army and Hookah Lounge have combined resources as a village "Black Rock Power CO-OP", sharing a big whisperwatt genny. Black Rock Army is a village consisting of Espresso Camp, MASH 4207th, and Playa Waste Raiders; previously a large part of Terminal ...

This year's city plan will have 12 o'clock facing due EAST to facilitate BRC's newest citizens' prayers. Please do not disturb them while they perform prayers as they will be more equipped than Death Guild, and more spirited than an Opulent Temple member on a three day bender.

Re: Indian Taco...fact or fiction?

Yea the Paiute folks are great, and really deserve the business burners offer. I used to live in Suapi AZ with the Havasupai, and while I was enjoying my pre-burn taco, I got to gossip with the Paiute ladies about several of the families I know down in that canyon. This burner loves native gossip!! ...

Re: Indian Taco...fact or fiction?

A little off-topic, but If you are arriving to Pyramid Lake Saturday before the burn and NOT entering early, staying there only costs $9 for a permit to stay on the lakeside at the Paiute gas station. It's quiet, serene, beautiful, barely populated at all, and entirely restful before the chaos of ge...

I'll be going next year as well - leaving from Saint Louis. I'll be pulling a trailer, driving a 4 door pickup truck, and will have the entire truckbed empty. I'm a resident of a theme camp and although I cannot grant you access to our space, I have references for being safe/sane to ride with. I hav...

luck on a find - bring that djembe over to The Hookah Dome where we have a Middle Eastern themed dome at 4:30 and A. I'm an old tabla player, and studied North Indian Classical for years - more polyrhythm is always welcome.

Again, luck on your find for your camp and your bud's ticket.

Second that statement. Saint Louis often refers to itself as the "armpit of the nation" while we reserve New Orleans the position of "crotch of the nation". Humidity is often above 80% with temperatures over 95f. Fuckin blows, it's literally oppressive outside.
