Thanks for the feedback...I'm glad I'm not alone. I definitely feel a sense of trying to fill some emotional holes left by leaving Burning Man this year. Thankfully, I'm on the underweight side of things, so I'm actually fine with upping my caloric intake. And I'm craving mostly beans and fish and c...

I love your photographs!!! Scanning them again today after seeing them posted somewhere else on ePlaya earlier today, I saw myself in the beautifully-colored Temple pic, and I'm honored to be a part of that amazing piece of art. (I'm just right of center, in a blue-striped furry cape) :) Thank you f...

Lost- blue corduroy hat with headlamp on it

This hat has some special memories for me, and I would love to have it back. Please, if you found it, will you contact me? Here's a pic of me wearing it:

I can't stop eating!

Anyone else find themselves gorging on food since coming home? I can only imagine I'm trying to fill the emotional gap that formed as I left my BRC home and people I met and loved....it's crazy, though, to see how much I'm eating! I miss it so much. I long to be in a state that's more Burner-friendl...

wow, this thread is a powerful one. I've never been a victim, but I feel as if I was given a world of insight through just a few small posts. I'm so, so sorry your friend went through that pain, and I can completely understand why she wouldn't tell anyone about it. It's totally understandable for a ...

Ok, me, too....Jesyka??

We met after the Burn and hung out together all night. I rubbed your tummy and we talked about how similar are lives are in so many ways.

I lost your card with all your info, and I would love to get in touch!

(I also have some great pictures Victor took of us!)

I'm feeling it, too, even though it's a bit embarrassing to admit. It might be the first unrequited love I've ever felt! (maybe I'm being pessimistic)

I'm also happily married, which makes it a bit more confusing and screwy.

I'd totally love a decompression party/get-together/whatever. It's not easy being back here.

I'm in an eastern suburb, but I'll go wherever. I don't know anyone else in MN who went to Bman, but I'd love meet some local burners!

I, too, was the victim of a guy with a camera held at waist-level. It was right after a very emotional visit to the Temple, and I saw it happen in slow motion, and realized he was aiming in my direction, and I was topless. I kicked myself later for not having enough backbone to say something, but at...

This was my first year at Bman, and I was one of the people who couldn't make it until nearly Friday. Incredible. In every way. I've dreamt about it every night since being back. Beautiful dreams about connecting with people. For the past two nights, my dreams have taken a turn, and I'm cuddling and...

It's my first burn, and I can't leave until tomorrow night (Thursday). I'll arrive in the wee hours on Friday. Even though I'll miss lots of days, I'm so excited!!! Sorry to those who can't make it this year. I'm grateful for even a few days. I feel really lucky that my husband is letting me go whil...

I'm arriving at 11pm on the 2nd, too. I have one rider, and I'm planning to rent a mid-sized car. I certainly don't mind another rider, if you think we can all fit 3-4 days' gear in there! Email me at [email protected].com if you'd like. :) Or just look around the airport, 'cause it sounds like we'll h...

Please tell me you're kidding about the sand spiders!!! This is the first I've heard about them. They could be a deal-breaker!! LOL.

Thanks...I hope you have a wonderful time as well. :)

I'm in MN!

I live in an eastern 'burb, and I'm a first-time Burner this year!

I'm flying in, so I'm just going to take what I can, and I'm planning to camp alone, even though I'm a little bit nervous.

I can't wait!! :)

Nice to see a FEW other Minnesotans on here. :)

I, too, am hoping to carpool from Reno airport on Sept. 2. I arrive around 11pm, and my return flight leaves early evening on Sept. 6. I'm planning to rent a mid-sized car, and will stop to shop before heding to the desert on the 2nd. Anyone interested in sharing the rental car and gas with me? Than...

hi!!

I'm Pixiecup, aka Jess. I'm coming to Burning Man for my first time this year, and I'm coming alone. I'm a little nervous about it...mostly the "alone" part. I'll only be attending for 3.5 days. I didn't find out I was camping alone until this morning. Wow, this is disjointed. I keep sitting here an...

Sand anchors? Kelty Lightline?

My dad suggested these, and I wondered if they would be a good idea. I was planning to take rebar stakes, but he thinks sand anchors would be a better idea: lighter, easier, etc. Would they hold up in the high winds?? Any experience using them at BM? I was wondering this as well. Would it be a good idea to buy a large silver tarp (I found one at Home Depot a Menards that is a boat-covering tarp) and fasten it to the rebar of the tent?

Or is this a really bad idea? :?:

Ride from Reno needed on Sept 3!

Hi...I'm a virgin Burner who could only spare a few days at BM this year. I wish I could be there the whole time, but my husband had to take vacation time to stay home and watch our boys while I flight out for some fun! I'll need a ride from Reno on Sept 3, and back to Reno on the 6th. What options ...
