Re: Suicidal Tendencies

This is my first one! I have wanted one since I was a child to the point of obsession. My hubby surprised me with a huge Victorian kit for our 14 year anniversary this past summer. It is daunting tho. The box is almost as tall as me. The finished house will be over 3 feet tall I believe. I've just s...

Re: Questions about lnt, gray water removal, large kitchens

Agreed. Which is why I recommended Castille soap. I even use it at home. I don't trust what corporations are putting in our food much less harsh chemicals intended for cleaning.

Re: Questions about lnt, gray water removal, large kitchens

OK. Thanks for the condescending explanation of glass spots. I guess I'm not getting my point across with lighthearted jokes so I'll spell it out clearly. Almost everyone in Britain doesn't rinse their damn dishes and since the entire population isn't suffering any side effects from it my point was ...

Re: Suicidal Tendencies

(((BB))) Thx :) I draw when my hands aren't cramping and I'm building a dollhouse right now. And I read...A LOT. You are so correct that hobbies and creative outlets need to be indulged even more so during rough times. I'm trying. Good grief am I trying.

Re: Suicidal Tendencies

There are so many disenfranchised groups. People with disabilities is one of them. The tragic and reprehensible fact that the onus is put on the sick person to do all the work precisely when they are least capable of it needs to be changed. The ADA and FMLA and ERISA laws help but they need to go fu...

Re: Questions about lnt, gray water removal, large kitchens

Also my gran washed my mouth out real good back in the day with a nasty harsh bar of heavy duty soap. If that didn't make me sick I doubt some invisible soap scum will :)

Re: Questions about lnt, gray water removal, large kitchens

Get a case of the runs from not rinsing the soap of your dishes and report back. No seriously. The more common practice is to wash your dishes thoroughly and set on the drying rack or towel off. The suds slide off and dry up. The residue will not make you sick. What do you think leaves thos...

Re: heavy duity accessible MV?

Fishy and others covering med costs out of pocket: don't forget you can claim these on your taxes. If you spend a lot on med costs (and that includes your insurance premiums, OTC meds, mileage to drive to doc appt, equipment, massages, etc) it can really pay off to itemize. Last year I spent $13,000...

Re: Suicidal Tendencies

Just as I got hopeful and felt like things were going my way...they cut off my long term disability payments. With no warning. Based on one 10 minute "independent exam". Losing over a third of our household income has us scrambling. I have to file an ERISA appeal. I meet with a lawyer next...

Re: Suicidal Tendencies

I am pushing back the despair with all my strength. I am taking extra meds to reduce the anxiety cause deep breathing just isn't covering it right now. In a medically induced calm after a nights sleep I can reason a bit better. The book keeper in me ran a cost analysis and found it would cost slight...

Re: Suicidal Tendencies

I can't win. I finally find a decent doctor, I'm starting to feel the smallest glimmer of hope. I'm dealing pretty well with the 2 family deaths I found out about this morning. I have plans to see my best friend this weekend for the first time in more than a year. My daily balance alert from my bank...

Re: Questions about lnt, gray water removal, large kitchens

Another dish/water saving tip. Skip rinsing. If you've washed the dish off really well you can just set it aside as is to dry, either drip or with towel which is what I prefer so you don't get dust sticking to the wet clean dishes. Rinsing is a largely US phenomena. If you are a stickler for rinsing...

I actually really like that idea Unjon. I just finished talking to my best friend on the phone and it really cheered me up and we specifically talked about the peace the temple has brought us in the past. Thank you.

Re: Fuck!

My foster mom finally died from the stomach cancer that's been slowly eating away at her. My foster sister, who alienated me with her heroin use and inappropriate behavior, doesn't understand why I won't talk to her. She also doesn't know how bad I've gotten with my own health problems...cause I won...

Re: Suicidal Tendencies

I hate coffee and have never had it. I quit soda over a year ago. I noticed no real effect from it except my skin is clearer cause I drink more water now. Don't take this the wrong way please...but other people telling me I might feel better if (insert suggestion here) is a huge part of my anger and...

Doc, good luck and positive thoughts for your surgery. My right shoulder too has a torn cuff but I was lucky enough not to need surgery. I am sure you will come through it spectacularly! Re: Suicidal Tendencies

Delle you captured that feeling of degrading dismissal perfectly. I think the past year and a half of awful non-care really traumatized me further. Getting up the courage to even try again took so much energy. But it feels good to have some very caring medical personnel on my side now. It really doe...

Re: Suicidal Tendencies

I had a Dr appointment at a pain management center today and it was so wonderfully rewarding to meet a Dr who took the time to listen to me and go over my issues for over 2 hours. He's ordered a new full MRI of my back, is reviewing my files and case with the other doctors and specialists that he's ...

Re: Did I Miss Something?

As a further note about the guide being so limited, I'd like to give a tip on what I've learned to do over the years. On the BMORG website the w/w/w guide continues beyond the limited amount made to print. I spend a lot of my spare time of prep work browsing through that list. If I see an interestin...
