Re: Seeking tips for taming long hair on the playa
I want to squeeze you all, you guys are the BEST! Thank you for all of your suggestions. I use coconut oil all the time, and never thought of using it on the playa
*sigh I washed my hair every other day with shampoo/conditioner in one, which explains a lot.

Seeking tips for taming long hair on the playa
I have pretty long hair, and last year it became a frizzy, electrically charged, dry mess as soon as we arrived on the playa. I tried frizz cream, hairspray, a little bit of cooking oil (!), anything I could find in our camp, and nothing helped. Any tips on how to tame it?
Thank you
Thank you

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
Thanks for the good vibes  I don't know if the time stamp thing is relevant, but I do know that if you stop thinking about what you don't have and focus on what you do want, you get it. I also wasn't sure how I was going to get a ticket, but I never once doubted I would be there. DON'T LOSE...

Re: Rape at Burning Man: Is Burning Man Pro Rape Culture?
What happened to being responsible for yourself? No matter where you are you have to watch out for yourself and be responsible for how much alcohol/drugs you consume. Just because you're at BM, doesn't mean all of that goes out the door.

We saw the white butterfly at the temple too! And yes, lots of bugs were around. Giant ants were a problem in our camp.

Re: Top Asshats of 2011 Burning Man
There was one really rude guy that wandered into our camp demanding our entire bottle of whisky. I instead poured him a shot, then he started asking all these strange questions and being super rude while my boyfriend was napping in the hammock two feet away. He eventually got the hint to leave. Come...

Re: 2011 First Timers Experiences
First time over prepared virgin here too! One of the first awesome experiences was riding out to the deep playa late at night and running into amazing art installations. There was an art car that pulled up at one point. I'm not sure why, but it was really one of the most memorable moments. It was a ...

Re: rv free zone.
Our camp was all tents surrounded by neighboring RV's. I didn't mind them at all. They were great wind breakers! Plus, I'm really considering renting a camper or an RV for next year. Being an over prepared virgin this year compelled me to believe that I deserve the comfort of a foam bed rather than ...

Re: Tips for Shy People at Burning Man
I would imagine BM is the opportunity to be yourself without holding up any barriers. I can completely understand why some people can by shy/intimidated, I use to be extremely shy. Just remember, we are all part of the human race (at least most of us ha!) we experience the same feelings and thoughts...

Comfy shoes for the ladies?
Hellooooo! This year will be my first, and I need some recommendations from the ladies as far as foot wear goes. See, I want to pack the least possible and maybe bring 1 or 2 pairs of shoes and would like something incredibly comfortable that will look decent with almost everything (skirts, shorts, ...

Hi there! It's so nice to meet you all! I'm beyond excited to attend BM this year. I've got most things on my supplies list crossed off, I'm almost ready to go! Just now getting to sketching my costumes. I'm looking to possibly camp with some sort of awesome girl troupe. I'm a graphics designer and ...
