Re: Missing Tickets
Kenyon, try having the camp lead contact their placement coordinator about the problem and need for this to be rapidly addressed. I wouldn't recommend most people got this route, but if they are leaving for build very soon, I am sure someone is going to be willing to you guys sort this out.

Re: Tips for an OMG ticket 2nd time burner
Hi everyone so exited to be called upon by the playa again. I almost did not make it but it’s calling me. Now I am coming! But I am still new to how to get my OMG ticket tips. So I make sure I do get one. :) any tips Love to all There will be 3,000 tickets for at least 30,000 hopefuls. There are no...

Re: It's (not) a conspiracy! Tickets are harder to find this year! Be vigilant!
Errr.... that wasn't a judgement in any way. I actually think it's fairly smart. But as physical tickets are arriving later than normal, it is a contributing factor in the difficulty of finding third market tickets. When tickets arrive earlier, more of them come to market more quickly, it was nothin...

Re: It's (not) a conspiracy! Tickets are harder to find this year! Be vigilant!
I feel fairly certain that another factor is the very late arrival of physical tickets. As we were still trying for tickets in the last few days leading up to the Burn (and got both of ours on Saturday on the way to and in Reno) I'm pretty familiar with the how many were coming up on eplaya at the v...

Taking Leave no Trace off-Playa with our Post-Burn Highway and City Clean Up!
When I finally took time this summer to read all the news of BLM's high pressure response to the 10 year permit, I was entirely dismayed by the suggestion that DUMPSTERS join us on the playa. And the fact is that, as an event, there is a massive aftermath in cities like Sparks and Reno. Overflowing ...

Re: Is there a plan or group to help reduce Moop on the highways and cities post-burn?
Okay, I made an event. I'll give it a solo post, too, to try to get some spotlight on it. "If you followed playa news between last year and this, you probably heard that the BLM suggested DUMPSTERS on playa, because as a community, we aren't handling our trash responsibly in the cities on our way ho...

Okay, they are pinged. That's really a good idea anyway, because once a plan is set, exposure in JRS or BMIR would help it gain more traction. Sadly, it will take a lot of us to make up for the irresponsible parties.

Is there a plan or group to help reduce Moop on the highways and cities post-burn?
With all the news articles that have come out regarding the threat of facing dumpsters and trash bins on the playa in future years, I would like to do more to help reduce the impact of our event on surrounding communities. While we've definitely hauled home extra trash left on playa and pulled up ab...

Open Season on Burners (i.e., Ticket Scamming Season) has begun. Here's how to buy 3rd Party Tickets.
Okay, yes, there's a pinned post for Scalpers and Scammers, but as someone who has, in eight years, only acquired tickets once through the main sale (and never through STEP or OMG), I'm a pro at avoiding scams and connecting with real Burners. And it can be hard to tell the difference. I'd like to o...

Anyone up for an ArtV Challenge? / Meet our future ArtV
To be honest, I'm not really sure if this topic belongs in Building & Making Art, or transportation. This year my partner and I bought a used RV for road trips, and to take to Burning Man. And when we got there, we realized just HOW MANY MORE RVs there are than there used to be. But there were a few...

Some Man in a Van
So in my search for tickets, a friend brings up this ad for $1500 tickets, apparently sold by some guy in a van in Fernley. And I have to wonder - is this guy just your average ticket scalper, taking advantage of the community by snapping up face value tickets as they became available, and marking t...

Fixed: No Registration button for OMG Sale
I've been refreshing the last few minutes, and despite the fact that I've not gotten tickets in the mail sale or offered through STEP, there's no registration button under "Sparkly Things."
So, is anyone else missing the button who should have it? Or am I am idiot reading today's date incorrectly?

New One on Me - The Ebay Scalpers go one step further
Okay, so maybe I just wasn't looking last year. But when 75% of of our camp didn't manage to get through with tickets, the conversation turned to "I wonder how long it will take the evil scalpers to post their ill gotten goods on Ebay." Turns out, right now. The tickets are already posted. Worse, in...

Actually, my confirmation email arrived quickly - which is rare, for the ancient AOL address I use for things like this. That said, as long as you printed your confirmation page, I would imagine that there would be no trouble finding your order.

Re: How to keep several pies and cakes cool?
Yes, one year I needed to keep an electric refrigerator cold on the way to BRC and ran a Honda EU2000 the whole way, no problems at all. Our cake maker in question would have to figure out where to carry the genny - I had mine on the trailer - but I can't think of anything nearly as good as simply ...

How to keep several pies and cakes cool?
This year will be my boyfriends' 10th consecutive year at Burning Man (he's the shiny Silver Guy), and I want to throw him a Tenthiversary party sometime early in the week. Baking ala-1950s-housewife is sort of my specialty. We do have a small trailer with tiny fridge/freezer, but it wouldn't hold a...

Re: !!README!! OMG Sale Info
We weren't planning to go this year, but life circumstances changes, so I registered for the OMG sale, like many others - it's very exciting to hear that so many tickets have been released. Like others have said, I didn't get an email confirmation with a link to the sale - has anyone received it? If...

Thanks to those who stopped to help the Silver Phoenix NV447
My boyfriend the Silverguy and I left Burning Man on Tuesday morning, with no exodus and smooth sailing... for the first 45 minutes. On the 447, however, many of you saw us with his silver art car and our silver trailer stopped dead in the Northbound lane. We spent a total of seven hours in one plac...
