I was never really able to fully track down the issue. It was some sort of floating ground, but I was able to get the LEDs to mostly play nice by running some extra wires to a grounding stake. Just curious, what do you mean by "didn't appear to be working correctly"? While it was a bit "twitchy" due to a grounding issue I was never able to sort out, it did work correctly Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights as far as I know (as in each time I visited it).

The Crypto Lotus is now on the DC container headed toward what will be BRC!

The lotus will be located at the plaza at 4:30 and G - I hope to see you in the dust!

AbundantChoice, BoyScoutGirl - it was so good to meet you both! I'm so glad you enjoyed the project! I made the project in order to make people smile, laugh, and be happy, to have interactions like those I hade with you both!

At the end of the week I was fully prepared to never do a damn thing with the BlitterBike ever again. I was done.

Now that I've been home a few days I'm noticing that I'm thinking about ways I could improve the damn thing! I have this nasty suspicion it will, in fact, be out there again...

Anyone see or interact with the BlitterBike out there? I took it it out every night except for one when I was too... um, disoriented to do so safely.

Well... as neat and tidy as that crate looks, it's a giant heavy asshole.

It's got in it a bike trailer, the wood superstructure, the electronics, my kodiak tent, two metal cots, a swamp cooler, etc, etc.

It's easily 300lbs and fits fine... in the back of a full sized pickup, minimum.

For Sonic I do, in fact, currently have four states - tapping his foot, jogging, running, and spinning. I'd love to do the skid stop, and if I have time I'll try. One thing I discovered last night was that stopping a 120lb trailer really isn't something you can do that quickly anyways!
