Re: Anyone have any experiances with Workman Cycles?

I simply bought a $180 front hub drive setup on ebay, 1500 watts and 48 volts. About a 2 hour install on my trike. I used 4 SLA 12 volt batteries in a series, get a very long day out of a charge. Batteries: about $85.00, then all you do is build a simple battery harness, about $3.

I really enjoyed the meeting, it wasn't so "rushed", actually had time to have some nice conversations....I think Destiny Lounge 3D did a great job hosting. I played God for one call, too much pressure for me. That one call happened to be the one I needed at the time, stellar.

Re: Where to set up camp if not in theme camp?

Everything out 2 is mostly the large sound camps infrastructure/camping. Easy to find area for BxB peeps, but you may not find any space. Hard to say, but unless you are a "placed theme camp", you are going to be begging for a center of block area. Walk in will be an option, but you will need to car...

Re: Where to set up camp if not in theme camp?

In my experience, the last few years have gotten worse for finding non-theme camp claimed land. We got in early Sun,found very little available last year, the year before wasn't as bad. This year they have given most open land to theme camps, we are left to search for a small spot here and there bet...

Re: I still don't understand blue flags and placed vs. unplaced

I think most all of the areas will be flagged, begging for a small spot will be the theme this year for us open campers. Soon it will be walk-in only unless you do a placed theme camp. If I sound like I am pissed, I am. They want only registered theme camps, us lesser people are simply out of luck. ...

Re: 2019 City Plan with Street Names

Every year, us "non-theme camp" peeps get less and less available spots to set up out tiny camps. I really identify with the statement in there that the open campers get to "fight for what's left". So true, sad, but true. Radical Inclusion? Not any more.

Installed new chains on the trike, received my tickets, bought more blinkie stuff, finished 1000 laminates/lanyards, trying to explain to my burgin WTF to bring. Next: the camper. Still dusty from last year.

Re: open campers - weds arrival - are we hosed?

Yes Luigi, I am seeing that playing out this year. Many theme camps trying to find people to fill up their camps. So, looks like they applied with inflated numbers/space needs and now have to find people to fill them up. All this is at the cost to us open campers. Hey you guys! Pare down your ego dr...

Re: open campers - weds arrival - are we hosed?

Great question, there really isn't a FAQ thread here for that. This is a very recent, (last year and this year) issue. With the promotion that everyone be in a registered/placed theme camp, us open campers have been squished out to the last outer road. For years, we camped at 3:30 and J, arriving Su...
