Re: STEP Ticket Mistake

I am a bit red faced about this situation, but in my defense the FAQ misled me with this: Q: Who can SELL tickets using STEP? A: Anybody who purchased tickets directly from Burning Man through the Pre-Sale or Main Sale can participate by selling their tickets using the STEP system. Thanks for the as...

Re: cooling your tent or van

Hey Joe, I would send it back for replacment. Before I clipped my wires I tried all combos including doubleing wires to find the most output. Turned out 2 wires would do - and +. The CO, easy huh. 8) Unfortunately, I've had it for over the 14 day return period. Mr.Coffee, once you marked your four ...

Re: cooling your tent or van

Interesting. Perhaps it was a mid-model change or something. mine had four black wires terminating in a 4 pin molex connector. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they have again made a change to the true pwm fan spec. Mine also had the four black wir...

Re: cooling your tent or van

I've hit a snag...I ordered the Delta 120 fan and found the pos and neg wires and connected it to a new marine battery...however the fan is only powered when the wires are rubbing against the terminals. Once the connection bolt is tightened down, the fan stops. I tested it with another battery...sam...

Re: cooling your tent or van

I would like to add a toggle switch so I can control the power supply to the fan from inside my tent. I'll be using a marine battery to power it. I found a "Mini Toggle Switch" at Radio Shack. Do you think I can just add it to a splice on one of the lines to the battery? Any other concerns using a s...

Re: cooling your tent or van

Hey FIGJAM, thanks for the best thread around! I'm starting to assemble my cooler from your prototype and have a question about the fan.
FANS! The key to good cooler is a powerful fan. CFM=cubic feet per minute. http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l2/g36/c435/list/p1/Fans-12_Volt_Fans_by_CFM.html I ...
