Re: Confirming ticket transfer
I sent them a question via the online form about whether I could search their database for my name, they responded saying my name was not in the database, which was because I had not yet bought a ticket. So I have been assuming they will confirm that a ticket has been transferred to my name. I sent ...

Re: Confirming ticket transfer
FWIW, I got an answer, and that is that ticketing support is still willing to give this sort of confirmation.

Confirming ticket transfer
I have read all the stickies and FAQs searched everything I can think of and find here, but have not been able to figure out how to confirm that a ticket has been transferred to my name. I would hate to get to the gate that no longer sells ticket only to find that they do not have my name in their d...

Re: OMG Sale Registration Issues
I'm sorry too, Trilobyte. Snark and sarcasm are hard values to read properly in online discourse. As I described, I was reacting in the context that I described from my long interactions with B Man staff, including frankly and sadly, many of the top brass. Honestly, I am sorry that I projected this ...

Re: OMG Sale Registration Issues
Well, what I surely know is that I have never been able to make it work in recent years. I never had any success with reduced-price tickets which always seemed to be gone before I could get into the system, and so used to just buy a ticket at the gate, which one can no longer do. I have also gotten ...

Re: OMG Sale Registration Issues
I got it to work, and since this was not 1st come, no problem. However, come next Wed it will be 1st come 1st serve, and we will likely see the same issue. I worry that some sort of hackish sniping techniques could crowd out JQ Average Burners. Anyone want to publish best practices or any other info...

Re: OMG Sale Registration Issues
Thanks, Savannah for the information. I presume the load on the pre-registration will lighten up as we have two more days to register, but what is going to happen on the 7th when the sale starts? Any tips on the best way to fairly engage in the upcoming first-come sales process?

Re: Lock your bikes!
Actually, I suspect most of those bikes were stolen. It seems common for someone, once their bike is stolen to steal someone elses. I think the Org Media are to blame for chirping away for years that "bike theft is common at Burning Man". Funny but it wasn't until you told everyone it was. I never l...
