Fantastic. So watts are electrical watts and if I clip the speakers, I can expect to draw more watts than the 400 they each "say" they have to play with. Does factoring in a 100 watt buffer sound reasonable when calculating total draw on the generator (after taking into account altitude inefficienci...

400 Watt Self Powered Speaker = How Many Watts at the Geny
I'd imagine that there isn't a hard and fast rule for this, but I'm trying to work with limited wattage. Is there a way to translate max power handling of a self powered speaker into how many watts it's going to draw from the generator.

Lycra PlayaProof Speaker Covers?
Is there such a thing?
Plastic bags seem like they'd trap too much heat and I recently heard that some of the bigger sound systems use lycra to keep out the dust.
Any one have experience with Lycra or anything else that works well?

They're the ones that are hidden until the two grey plastic runners are removed fron the bottom edges, and connect both halves of the red covering. The problem is tha...

Is there a trick to keeping the playa out (beefing up the pre-filter some how)? Another question...how long does the 2000 run on a tank of gas under ful...
