Re: Where can we get a stake puller around SF or Seattle?
OK, for future reference, here's one way to build a stake puller out of cheap home depot materials.... sorry no pics, after the burn it went to one coast and I to the other... There are three components: A fulcrum, a lever, and a cable to transmit pull from the lever to the stakes. Fulcrum: 4x4 post...

Where can we get a stake puller around SF or Seattle?
My camp is bringing some very large military tents. We're gonna need a stake puller to get out the big stakes, and I'm not sure where to get one for a reasonable price; home depot wants $300. We have people coming from Seattle and SF; are there places around there we could score one? Anyone want to ...

53' trailer in WA needs hauling, various payments possible
Hi! My camp has a 53' trailer with our gear in Bellingham, WA, and our truck and driver just had a sudden plan change. So, if you know anyone who has a semi who can (legally) haul a trailer from Bellingham to Black Rock City, we'd be happy to provide gas money, an event ticket, early access pass, an...

Re: STEP is scaring me
OK, so I entered my zip and card number, clicked the button that said "verify and sell", and then it emailed me the link. I followed the link and it did indeed give me the choice of how many tickets to sell. Huzzah.

STEP is scaring me
So, I bought four tickets and want to sell three back into STEP. The system is not making it clear I can do that; I'm afraid if I follow the email link, labeled "Click this link to continue and re-sell your ticket(s)", it will automatically sell my entire order. Has anyone here actually been thru th...

Re: cooling your tent or van
Question: Could I turn greywater into something safe to use in a swamp cooler using a backpacking-style hand pumped water filter?
(I can think of two potential problems... one, the filter might simply clog up, or two, it might not get all the yuck out of the water...)

Re: cooling your tent or van
So, I think I'm bringing an 8' Springbar canvas tent, and I want to build a swamp cooler for it.
Should I place the swamp cooler inside the tent or do I try to duct the output into the tent somehow?
--thank for any clues...
