Sorry if this question has already been answered. How are the STEP registrants chosen to buy a ticket assuming there are more people seeking a ticket than tickets available. First you have to have been registered to buy a ticket in the general sale, then your sent an email asking you to confirm you...

I want to know, so I can send those camps a crate of champagne each so they can celebrate in style.

with STEPs it is a ticket

Maybe this will be the year everyone says "The WORST Year Ever"

Simon of the Playa wrote:Shut up hippy.

I kind of did.

If you do attend, feel satisfied that maybe you "deprived" (quoted because that connotes entitlement) a bitter, I-must-state-how-many-years-veteran "burner" of a ticket and also spared us his or her presence on the playa. And now these people are preferred participants of BM, these are the 10,000 w...

I can't even post anything remotely diplomatic about this situation now, so I won't.

as I remember it from last year the dust flies around 24/7, at night it is just dark and you don't see it, but if you look into a beam of light the dust looks like rain on a muggy day.

50,000+ people damage the road, kick up dust and create dunes where there would be none naturally and compromise the hot springs. Being uncivil to the BLM is not going to help anything. I understand this and environmental conservation is all good. But what does anyone get out of this desert if a li...

I'm in a Facebook group for older burners and your way too young to join the group, you are not old

This makes me sad, I am 53 years old, and I was just getting the hang of being a raver. I have a solution, why not relax the rule on driving RVs around the playa, it works like this, regular burners encircle the playa in their RVs and drive around for a couple of hours and build up massive dust stor...

I believe this is very likely and although 'unfair' I believe it is appropriate. (for ref. I am not a part of a art or theme camp, and I am not going this year)

Most people going this year think it starts on Friday night and ends Sunday night. Most people going for the full week think 5 gallons of water is enough to last them the week. Most people going this year think your suppose to be a Sparkle Pony (it's a theme) Most people going this year think center...

B-b-but the Glastonbury Festival "solved scalping" by printing names and photos on tickets! Yeah, because the Glastonbury Festival requires tickets to be sold back to the festival for a refund. There is no ticket transferring at all, at least to the people you want to transfer tickets to. It become...

BBadger wrote:Oh spare us your empty statistics. The number of tickets in scalper hands is not known, nor the number of informal ticket transactions involving ticket transfers.

I agree.

. . . I wonder how much more tickets would cost if the Org had to be ready to reassign names every time someone wanted to sell? . . . I never understood this argument your always putting out there… on the one hand, it's all about get your act together, and this argument is all about but what about ...

10 principles, 10 commandments, it's still control. Radical Inclusion = Radical exclusion, freedom of rejection, not free. But it's all good, Elvis told me.

You will have a great time. Once in Reno you have every chance of meeting up with burners on their way to the playa. Systems are put in place to hook up with other people traveling out there, do not be afraid to use them.

I would really like to see this ticket fiasco behind us for better or worse and let the boards get back to being fun and useful, rather than a place to vent anger. Let's forget about the dead it makes war so negative, the ticket fiasco isn't behind us, it won't be until the last car leaves Burning ...

Last year we left just before 7am and we were in the queue out for 5 hours, I heard that later that people queued for much longer, so leave 7am-8am just to be sure.

That's only true if BMorg release the data.

i think you may be missing his point.

he is right.

My response was silly, but on reflection, as it really brought the out the best in the community?

I know a friend who knows a friend who told him Elvis returned to Earth and stole all the tickets.

You said 'data' 13 times, is that a bad omen?

I thought you agree to call me a hipster. Anyway, not my problem anymore, deciding not to go again has lifted my stress and depression. So good for me, yeah!!

I suggest Summer Solstice at the Sun Tunnels if you can make it. Not the right time frame, but awesome. Sun Tunnels is on our list too, we are discovering so much to see out there each day, so far we have worked out that the whole driving time is 4 and half days, so 16 days would be 7 hours driving...

I agree with that completely, that why it will be wrong for me to come. So I spoke with my partner and we have decided to leave this year to all those people who will have an amazing time out there.

I only just watched the film PI (symbol) again yesterday, love that film.

i predict that raymaker is gonna get a ticket to burning man 2012 and have the best time EVER!!!! Well I would have loved for that to happen, but this whole situation is making me believe that even if I got a ticket, that by the time I arrive, and partly due to my mental state, I will be in a negat...

I predict that there will be no tickets in STEP. I'd be happy if this prediction is wrong, but I doubt it.

sensible as in say something other than pre-lottery that everyone who was predicting a massive failure were stupid?
