Re: Plug&Play Camp PlayaSkool - Camp Probably intentionally left Moop to keep deposit and legally steal money from peopl

... The point here is not the fact that it's PnP camp, which we regret to have supported and learn from now. It is that the camp leaders kept money they should not be entitled to and effectively made a business out of leaving the playa dirty themselves. Benefiting at the expense of the principles a...

Re: Plug&Play Camp PlayaSkool - Camp Probably intentionally left Moop to keep deposit and legally steal money from peopl

I agree, that it is not right to support such a Plug and Play camp. But as a virgin, we had no choice and no idea how this camp would operate, had we known, we would have looked for another one. But that does not justify us losing money to those crooks who abuse the virginity of people to fill thei...

... what I'm really curious about, is how people think a disabled person would get along with one of those on the playa. It's stable. Re: Electric Quad-wheel Fatbike wheelchair

Canoe, I'm surprised at you. Why are you asking instead of looking it up? the DMV, (department of mutant vehicles), isn't hidden. The short answer is YES. If it is a motorized 4 wheel vehicle You need to apply for a permit for the event. If you are disabled and have adequate proof, you get to use i...

Re: Electric Quad-wheel Fatbike wheelchair

Canoe. It really is to everyones advantage at the event to play by the rules. Its not complicated. If you are genuinely disabled, get your vehicle permit. If not, make it art and apply for the license. Able bodied participants can create a pleasing 4 wheeler. I agree for able bodied participants. A...

Re: Electric Quad-wheel Fatbike wheelchair

Because laws, in this case disability laws, usually take precedence? Does DMV or BLM say that wheelchairs need to be registered in BRC? If that is someone's wheelchair, what does Nevada law say. What does Federal law say. But with those large & fat tires, that should be able to handle anything on th...

Re: Electric Quad-wheel Fatbike wheelchair

Could depend. E-bike is defined at max three wheels. Wheelchairs have four wheels. Is this a four-wheeled e-bike (a vehicle), or a wheelchair with large wheels made from e-bike parts? If someone who needs a wheelchair is in it, under the law I'd expect it to be treated as a wheelchair. If I was in i...

Electric Quad-wheel Fatbike wheelchair

This off road wheel chair goes 20 miles per hour, and should have a range of 20-30 miles. It cost me about $3,000usd (mostly the price of the bikes). About 50 dollars worth of metal for the seat, and about 3 full days to design and assemble the whole wheelchair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3_m...

Make sure you consider: holding it up/down, wind loads, climbing loads.
You're not the first to anchor an art piece. See what others did.

Yup
Looks like it would be more than a little bendy (breaky) under a heavy load.
A long bare shank means the threads disturb the soil going in but don't leave threads grabbing it for much of the length.
But might work well in some soils.

Re: Dual Hose Air Conditioner

If you got negative pressure, then something is wrong. We discussed this with other shiftpod owners, this problem exists in many different dual hose ACs, something is wrong with their design - there is negative pressure and it's impossible to do anything about it. This is very suspect. The whole po...
