Problem w/ Pier 1-- when I would go scavenging for fishing poles and nets and stuff I pretty much would take $40 out garage saling, spend $5 on Pier stuff and $35 on stuff for ME. But it's FUN!

I would start with Prism Magic in Sparks or the Melting Pot in Reno (make sure it's the store, not the fondue place lol).

Twin Cities surplus I believe has rebar- they're on 4th street east of 395
Harbor Freight is good for supplies like tie downs, cheap tools.. not sure if they have rebar- they're on Kietzke and Moana-ish
Other than that, I just usually go the usual Home Depot/Lowes route.
