And I can think of two guys on this board who attend while their wives and kids stay home. Neither of them sounds unhappy in the marriage. Same. I know lots of people in . . . interfaith marriages. :) My fourth burn, wife's first. We have been married 18 years and have 6 kids. She has been super po...

Re: Best rebar stakes for Costco carport? Newb here.
I have used 2 foot rebar at the post bases and duct taped the rebar to the post. We also use one or two trucker straps over the whole structure to hold the top poles down tight. Works great. I recommend cheap home depot thin all weather carpet for your floor too.

Re: Sound shield for generators - best design?
Two pieces of 4' x 8' plywood or that glue board (not particle board), cut in half for four 4' x 4' sides. Drill three or four 1/2" holes along the edges of the vertical sides so that you can use those plastic zip ties to hold the pieces together to form a box. Line the box with carpet cut to fit. ...

Sound shield for generators - best design?
Other than not having a generator or turning it off
, anyone have input on an inexpensive yet effective design for constructing a good sound shield for generators. I have reviewed the info on the bm site but want specific design tips. Thanks in advance!

Re: Couple law related questions?
Somewhat related question - how do LEOs view NO2 (nitrous oxide/laughing gas)? It is legal here but I cant find any info for NV/BRC. It is illegal if used to get high and not used for a medical purpose under the supervision of a physcian. Here is the text of the applicable Nevada statute: N.R.S. 45...

Good advice. This will be year 4 for me and I want to get in as soon as possible (duh) but want to avoid the 8 hour turtle crawl in the dark like I've done before. Thanks for comments

Re: Best place to fill up water and park/camp Saturday night
Question, Pecho... What do you mean by 'get in line early on Sunday' ? The gates open at Midnight Sunday(Monday AM)... there is no getting in line early; if you arrive before midnight, you'll get parked in 'D' lot, which means you'll sit and wait until the entry line has gaps... I guess I'm asking ...

Best place to fill up water and park/camp Saturday night??
Where is the best place to fill up water coming from east on I-80? Winnemucca? Fernley? I read there is no parking on the highway into Gerlach. I want to fill up my water at a reliable place without driving it 600 miles and I want to get in line early on Sunday. I'm transporting a lot of people so a...

Re: Couple law related questions?
Maybe I can help answer some of your questions. 1. Can you be charged on the playa with DUI for riding a bike after having a few drinks? (within reason, obviously you wouldn't want to attempt riding a bike absolutely mangled for your safety or others). Might sound like a silly question, but I know t...

Re: Advice for Burnign Man newbs V 2.0
When is best time to drive in to get in line? The past three years i have spent 6-8 hours in line. I want to be near the front of the line when the gate opens. I dont mind parking and camping since we have a camper. Suggestions from smarter burners than i? Was thinking maybe reno sat night and head ...

Re: $99 Plastic Car Ports?
The costco carports work great with rebar stakes and trucker straps or rope over the top of the whole structure also staked down. I also bought some cheap thin all weather carpet from home depot to cover the ground area. Works really well.
