I've taken my mid-range digital to Black Rock City the last two years. I put it in a "1-Gallon Storage" ZipLoc bag with just the strap hanging out. I unzip the bag and pull it out for a picture then put it right back in. I end of replacing the bag a couple of times during the week. Works great. Alth...

I was on the Playa at the site of this year's BRC the weekend before last. Everywhere I drove was solid but the top crust was more 'crumbly' than I remember it last year before the event.
