in '98 a couple of guys hit a rabbit on the way to the burn, they strapped it to the front of their van in a plastic bad and drove into camp, set up and grilled it. weird was the all round feeling.

our shade rocked this year.
90% coverage mesh. it was almost cold in there a few times. amazing for a black structure.

our design was a 2 pole design, each pole was anchored 4 ways to the playa. worked very well.

shit. double post. duh....

yeah you can't daisy chain them, but... it's silent, it's a 4 stroke, and it's cheaper. that won it for me in the fact that we have 3 gennies in camp which more than covers our power needs.

yes, your gennie will work fine. it's going to be loud (as fuck) as you know, so building an open top box with enough room for ventilation will work well. even better, if you secure the box on top of your rv, that way the sound will be directed up. on thing to note. most people think that generators...

for what's it worth, step back from your design approach and let it simmer for a bit. your tat's going to roll with you for a long time. i've always thought a stylized version would be a good and personable approach at what your going for. that way, it would be unique and still hold a significant me...

just noting, these work pretty well. http://store.yahoo.com/deerbusterscom/dee-8032.html they work good because of the candy cane top. if the tops are 90-degree angles, they will ping around, bite your leg, and are nearly impossible to pound. avoid those. the rebar stakes with the small loops welded...
