Re: To Bike or not to Bike?
^ good advice there, if its not such a hassle to bring one then you might as well. Maybe a bike-less campmate might ride it to the pottys and make some use of it if you dont.

Re: To Bike or not to Bike?
My first year I lived on my bike, because I wanted to see everything. After 08, (which if you guys remember the same way as I do was mostly unridable hippy sand traps) I took up the hoofing it method. Traversing great distances is the only obstacle I really come across, but if I want to be there I w...

Re: Gates really opening at 6pm Sunday?
Last year I hit Gerlach around 12:45 and if I remember correctly was just hitting camp when the sun came up. Although it has been different every year, so planning to get in right at sunrise is going to be pretty tricky.

Re: Help, please
Also it might help to put "electrical question" in your title, these days forum folks are so tired of seeing "help need ticket" or "help miracle please" threads that blindly asking for help might not even warrant a second glance.

Re: Help, please
I'm not an electrician or anything, but typically red and black would be your hot in wires and white would be your negative out, green would be the grounding wire which would likely not connect to the plug. Just a screw somewhere. I looked at the pictures but feel like i'm still missing something. B...

Re: ?Kickstarter Problem?!? Amtgard Foam Sword Fighting Proj
I love your idea. I have friends who do Amtgard in Wavehaven and the Iron Mountains. I even attended one of their big wars on Mount Madonna in California one year. It was pretty intense and has a nerdy, yet burny community vibe. That being said i've seen plenty of projects on kickstarter for BM and ...

Indian Tacos
Not really sure where to post this, so here goes Every year during exodus my belly and tastebuds that have been tortured for a week demand that I stop at one of those roadside indian taco stands. However, every year I have ignored them and patronized some less deserving corporate restaurant in Reno....

Re: Life... in the city
I like to flip through the what/where/when book for the current day and find an event that semi interests me and start wandering there. Theres always so much cool shit on the way and i'm easily sidetracked so I only actually make it there about 1/4 of the time, but the adventure is always a blast.

But the fact remains that shirtcocking is a Court Martial offense. One of the few things that is against the "rules" at the Fandango bar is shirtcocking. You will not get served. Period. (others include: "miracle" signs, bragging you got a miracle ticket at the gate and, depending on how drunk our ...

Hello all, I feel like a doof for not starting here first, but here I am. My name is Joshua, 28 years old and this will be my 5th year. I live on my family's ranch in the mountains of Paicines, California where we grow hay, livestock (sorry vegans) and harvest our own eggs, herbs and some vegetables...

Re: Puking at Burning Man
In 2008 I drank an entire fifth of Jagermeister, was lying face down halfway out my tent and couldn't move so I puked in a puddle around my head and fell asleep in it. When I woke up, it was gone. Inform the hippys in Gerlach because I found a real playa miracle. I no longer drink Jager and plan to ...
