Re: post what you didn't like about 2011 here
As a virgin, It's comical to listen to everyone bitch and moan about the same exact shit that goes on in the default world. Doesn't matter the event bikeweek, music festival, the beach, or the campground on memorial day; you're going to get the unwashed freeloading drainbow , the douchebag fratboy ,...

Re: STAY OFF THE FUCKING ART!
It doesn't take alot of sense to stay off the artists creations. Selfish fucks not knowing how to read the situation, probably bummed a ride, brought a tent and a gallon of water, stealing bikes when they want, mouching food and drink, and crashing where and when they want. Not so much a hippie, but...

Re: To whoever is operating the UStream Playa Cam
Huge camp envy!; especially if everyone has noticed how much more alive and crowded the playa becomes as the week rolls by. To the camera operators, we want to see/spy on the interactions of the people, the themecamps, or what groups of people are doing, and watch people on the large mutant vehicles...

There's like 6 million nerve endings in that area of the forskin; if you got'em keep'em. How I ruined my week at BM : Got circumsized on Monday. Keep all the forskins though, Catholic priests use them as gum.

Re: Interesting critique of Burning Man
I didn't even read the article, but I will. The trouble with so many people is that they take themselves so seriously; once one can simply take things for what they're worth they'll stop being so judgemental. Look , it's a temporary campground laid out like a clock..?? How would he do it? If you thi...

Re: Burning Man theme song, I nominate
Beyond the shadow of a dought....best song for Burning Man is.....DustDevil by the Butthole Surfers!! "The desert sky before my eyes had burned into a sea ; A flaming mass of oil and gas and screams of ecstacy". One of those huge camps needs to play this song when the man burns. Oh, about that Russi...

Re: Virgin needs advice, am I being setup?
You being a "take charge" person, you should speak directly to the person "in charge"; that way there is no confusion of exactly what is expected of you. Tell the person in charge what you're able to do and what you're good at , and some idea of hours you're willing to contribute. Remember you're th...

Re: Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You
Ok here we go, I've already been posting a few replies on some of the threads so I figured it was time to introduce myself. No better time to do this then when the event kicks off right?! (did we get the 6pm. opening or are we waiting for the 12am. opening??). My name is Ted Blackwell, live in St. A...

Re: What turns you off/on about DJs at Burning Man?
Like: When the DJ for the most part just plays and mixes the music. Oh, and the bling monkey. dislikes: Industrial-house-trance that is the same beat over and over that seems to never fucking end; then it's mixed into and continued into the next song. It's like that shitty action flick where the fin...

Re: Any rock music on the playa?
Like some said, no matter the size of your camp "make your own" if others dig it they'll gravitate to it, or gravitate to what you like. I'm a rocker myself, the "industrial-house-trance" gets old after awhile especially if it doesn't have a good groove to dance to. Personally I can't see BRC withou...

Re: Thinking of riding my motorcycle in.
I ride myself, and there are alot of places that cater to the "smaller convience" of being on a bike. But I can tell you this...you cut in front of people who've been waiting for 5-7 hours and the only gift you're gonna get is an ass woppin'. Take care.

Re: Yeah, You! No Hovering in the Porta Potty!!
Isn't it funny, every sex ed class you go to they tell you you can't get a disease from a toilet seat or a door knob, yet everybody hovers and that makes it worse. How fucked up does one have to be to miss a urinal; guys... if you can't hit the urinal then sit on the toilet like a chic does. Both bi...

Re: Suggest a meeting spot outside BM
There's the small "bat" gas station in Empire, a good landmark but it may be too full as well. Most don't care as long as it's not TOO crowded or you're not taking up too much room. As always if the situation works for you and the owner is cool least you can do is spend a little money. Good luck!

Re: Help, please Electrical Question
Are you , and can you trace it back to the curcuit panel and match the colors to their connections. Or if you're in a pinch cut the new cord strip the ends and wire nut the appropriate colors together and rock on with it. You can always fix it right when you get back home.

Re: Jiffy Pop on the ashes of the Man
Darwin himself would perfer the microwave bags considering it is what has EVOLVED from the stovetop expanding aluminum bag that looks like a kings crown. Speaking of MOOP, the 10lb. dump and run (like that idea), and a huge amount of ashes. Exactly what is done with all of the ashes? Are they bulldo...
