Cheers to the woman in the middle of the play on Sunday picking up moop and putting it into a trash bag. Cheers to the Do Lab for the giant flower. Jeers to the yahoo fucks who tried to steal the black lights from our aerial rig. Jeers to the drunken troglodytes who showed up Friday, turning the pla...

Lost our DJ

We had a DJ but plans changed and now we don't. We have a cool location on the Esplanade just north of Center Camp. We have a 30' aerial rig with el wire all over it. We will be doing aerial tissue and trapeze, and will also have instructors training if you would like to learn. We will also be spinn...

I've owned four RVs over the years. I bought the last one just to take to Burning Man last year. I seldom hung out in it, but it was great to have a comfy bed free of playa dust, not to mention a shower, toilet, kitchen, fridge, freezer and air conditioning.

Body paint question

I have a costume idea for NYE that would require me to paint my entire body a solid color (probably gold or silver). I have never worked with body paint before. Can anybody tell me what I should use and where I can find it. Any tips about using that stuff would be cools as well.

Thanks - Chris

Thanks for the reply, and sorry about getting the band name wrong. Does that fire drum belch flames when you strike it, or to you use a peddle to time the fire burst with the drum strike?

Looking for F-Stop fire percussionist

This year at BM there was a band F-Stop that had a guy who played a percussion instrument that shot fire out of each side. I'm interested in creating a fire breathing drum of my own, and would like to talk with him. If anybody knows who it is, please respond.

Thanks

So people can navagate at night. So true, cryptofishist. After the burn I was completely disoriented without the man to point the way. I tried to find my way home and ended up going in exactly the opposite direction. It was not until the next day that I remembered that on my camelback was my hiking...

FWIW, Man-O-Sandwich, the site is pretty helpfull for a newbie like me. I can't keep track of the history and geniology. But seeing how one form connects to another is visually satisfying. And being able to bring up quick examples of the various types is handy too. It seems obvious that I won't be a...

Techno? Break? House? Trance? 'splain me, Lucy

This year at BM I got exposed to more electronica than ever. Great stuff for dancing, and it's fun to play along with my drum. I also find that if I put it on while at the gym I set a pretty good pace for my cardio. But I am not clear about what the difference is between house, break, trance, psycod...

I agree, Ivy, and will pass that point along. I too hunted for trash cans and could find none. Those cardboard recycle boxes became nothing but trash cans in the long run. After all the rain, they kinda discintegrated. Which was just as well, because by the end of the night we found out that we had ...

We had the same thing at the LA Decom. However, you gotta factor in that there were a lot of non-burners who heard about "some wild street party" and came down with all thier Frat buddies.

Seeking Madam Morgan

I wrote an article for the Black Rock Gazette about Madam Morgan and her Dad who were staying at the Temple of Atonement. I promised to bring a copy of the article the next day before they left, but the article got bumped. It ended up in the Decompression issue, and I snagged a couple copies for the...

Hello everyone. Below is a link to the pictures I took at the LA Decompression Party 2004 yesterday. It was overcast most of the day, and by the ti...

I have about 150 pictures that I took at LA Decomm that I would like to share. In the past I have used Ofoto, but that site requires that I send an email invitation in order for people to view them. I left Sunday morning after the burn, driving a 34' motorohome. I had a guy who was going back to LA with me to share the driving (750 miles). At the last minute he decided to stay. It was still kinda early but I was hoping to see scads of people looking for rides. I found one...going to LA.

While the ID issue has merrit, I am more concerned about how a supposed adult treated a child. If Hipifish's account is true (and I have no reason to believe it isn't), then it's a new low in being high.
