my first post was pure rant, and some facts were overlooked: It was not the first time the SF Opera has done this. I attended one 4 years ago, and it was bad. That time, I was one of the lucky ones to arrive early. I had forgotten the details, but after this experience, I remember that they only had...

and if I have an opinion to share, I should not? It was poorly executed. Very poorly. I fully support their desire to raise money. And it's up to us, the community to help their efforts. And that's why I was there. But when it turns into a disaster, my desire to be a supporter is superseded by my ob...

SF Opera Sale - Utter fiasco - wasting your time

For those who got their early today, I'm sure they founds some exciting costumes and/or great deals. BUT, if you got there past 11:30am, you would have been one of the people waiting in line for HOURS in the hot sun, with NO INFORMATION about what was happening. SO the line moved slowly, and no upda...

This is what I thought the process was from when I started in 2001 start a single line, then when it maxed out, start out line two, then three, etc. tell people to shut off their engines. wait for line 1 to clear the gate, then line two can start their...

ok, flicker is the wrong word. but try this the next time you see x-mas lights, or an Escalade (cadillac SUV, yuck). if you whip your head really fast, while looking at it, you'll see what I'm talking about. There is a quality to the light that is, well, different. of course don't try this while you...

Yes, I know what you're talking about, and I don't know what it's called either. I've seen LEDs programed in stationery set-ups as you described -- one year I remember seeing a tall vertical column of LEDs that would display the Mona Lisa if you turned your head quickly. I've also seen some excecuti...

What's great is if the goggles fit right on your face, preferably with some foam along the edge to m...
