It’s kind of lame to bundle them together.

Re: eBikes and Burners who Ride them

There is no question on my mind, that those bikes will be cracked down on hard this coming year. They were zooming and zipping in every direction. My guess is there will be a ban on them. It's always been kinda cool to see the LEO's doing 80mph out beyond the trash fence...they must love it and the...

Socks: THREE pairs times the number of days. Very cheap in bulk. By far the easiest way to attempt to prevent playafoot. I have one of those expensive SPF long sleeve shirts that is the greatest for camp work. It's still in good shape after 6 burns. I usually wash it with Bonners around Wednesday as...

But I am more concerned with heat as it has no windows.. The real key to lower tent heat is functional shade. If "she" is the poster NewbieAna, her tent at $150 USD is hardly rolling out a sleeping bag. (to compare, the Trek tent above is $200)

This is the tent she put a link to:

Re: Tent - opinion

If you are buying a tent, do a long hard search to find one where there is no mesh on the ceiling, and all windows can be sealed off from the inside. (don't open them until you are home. If you want fresh air, open the door. Reason being, playa will accumulate in the closed windows...you open them a...

Re: Raw shade cloth

The best cleaning of most everything but bikes is a leaf blower if the next usage of the shade will be the playa.
I powerwash mine as I'm storing them at a friends house and don't want them to smell playa all year, but that's the only reason to take all that time to wash and dry.

Depending on the quality of the grommets (super sharp interior edges that can cut thru stuff) it should be no problem going thru three layers. In my opinion, and experience for many burns working with bulk aluminet and bulk shade cloth, there is no need to tape the edges, or have grommets. Yes, the "tape" may theoretically spread the tension along the entire edge, but I've seen corner fail on taped edges, so does it really help? ...

For years I've been using the "4 letter" cable locks. I found them better than having a key around my neck. I've been lucky to not have my bike stolen! There must be 100 videos on youtube about how to open that type of lock in 30 seconds. But, there seems to be a Master lock that makes it ...

ShadeKing certainly has it all, but it may be worth it to you to consider BlackRockHardware. I just checked the site, and they have not yet sold out, which always happens at some point. Of big importance in choosing BRHardware is that you must pick up the Shade Kit in Oakland. I believe what makes B...

I've seen them used, never that short, and always with a very slow turning specialized tool that slips over the top. Doing them with a long bar could be possible until you get close to the ground, as of course you should put them in at an angle. And, they are short and need to go all the way in, may...

Stressing about it won't help, though. It's like trying to keep the plane in the sky by gripping the armrest super hard and gritting your teeth.
