If the wind is strong enough, will that serve as transportation?
I notice "they" say the speed limit is 5mph for bikes!
I was planning to downwind race the remaining windsurf people out there!

Great to hear! Where do you find 18" lags. I got some 14" but if they fail then I definitely want the longer ones!! I get mine from amazon. Faster and cheaper than shipping for the same company that sells them thru amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005EH2RA0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie...

Found some very stiff 3/8" foamcore pieces in garbage that is perfect for stick on glossy material that I'm going to have my printing shop ink on some choice photos for our camp walls.

Natural BO, any day. If it gets too strong, use one of those salt crystal deodorants, that's my backup. Kills the stinky bacteria without coating you in nasty chemicals. I've used it for years. It only works if the armpits are freshly scrubbed, if one has an antibacterial bath soap, that's the plac...

Hard to think of the old days without bemoaning aspects of the new days.... But, I miss the streets not being in alphabetical order. Disoriented burners were at every street sign. Now, most everything is oriented. Now, many use the roads just to get from point A to point B. It's now vital to make su...

.....We use the commercial feet and they work perfectly well. ......all the feet do is keep the poles from sinking into the ground. Good that you have feet with holes big enough. Re: How much shade do two Costco carports offer?

We have two Costco carports this year and I’m curious about how many people that can comfortably shade during the day. We plan to put them side by side and remove the connecting wall so there’s a larger open common space. Our camp’s likely to have 17 people. We won’t have any tents under there, as ...

Forget feet. If your conduit is 1", get a 1 1/8" spade bit (or a 1 1/16" if you can find one) Get some 2x3 or 2x4 and cut correct number of "feet", each about 4" long. Drill holes about 3/4" deep. Re: Conduit Shade Structure Questions

The reason I don't do sidewalls as the Mayor of a camp of 50 is that I believe they add huge side and top load forces to the supporting structure under heavy wind(1"conduit structure with factory made fittings). I get that. I figured 10 foot 90% shade (mesh) "tarp" stretched out all the way from th...

Re: Conduit Shade Structure Questions

If your conduit is 1", get a 1 1/8" spade bit (or a 1 1/16" if you can find one) I was wrong. To be safe, as your conduit might differ from mine, use a 1 1/4" spade bit. There is no reason to make the hole be snug around the conduit, especially as even kiln dried 2x4 will get what moisture remains ...

I dont order corner pieces when I order parts for a new shade. I order the ones that are like an X,Y,Z axis chart. The ones with 6 places to put poles.
