Lucky, What is that place we ate while on the amtrakathon. Breakfast with Doc in a very busy dive joint. I loved it.

Within walking distance of the Sands.

Re: Free Photoshoot for your art/camp/happening/costume! or event at Burning Man

BRCpics, thank you for such a great gift. Having pictures of your event cements the memory in your brain. It's also useful for fundraising and necessary for camp placement. The City is divided into sectors. Each sector has a FB page. Keep in mind that events don't happen as planned. Thanks again and...

Re: The Bar 2018 Edition

It's the volunteer season. As all the individuals and departments make that last push to the playa, everyone could use a hand. Yesterday Census wrapped up some loose ends. Today I'm off to help Center Camp with decor. Maybe I'll start on my own prep soon.

KlaraM, I had to google Jeff Schomberg to see which artist he is. Yes, he does fabulous work. I'm sure he has a big crew at his art installation camp. Why didn't the cook get an opportunity to buy a ticket through his Designated Group tickets? Good luck on your search.

Still not decided where we'll be camped, though it'll likely be one of 2 usual spots.

Tatonka, Come on. Loosen up. Don't be so shy. We're all friends here. Tell it like it is. Don't hold back. (It sounds like you can be the 'after' model at Elliot's seminar.) Elliot, instead of such a one sided negative title for your Ted Talk, how about, 'The pros and cons of circumcision'. Your aud...

Oh no Elliot. You don't get off that easy. Eplayans can debate the best pee bottle for more than 6 years. You might as well resign yourself to talking about dicks on this board ad infinitum. You might even get a playa name in the bargain.

That explains Center Camp with art and seating but how did a wild gathering that shuns money decide to open a coffee shop? Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking it. I just think it's odd.

Re: Connecting Shade Cloth with clips?

What is the finished size. I can't picture cutting 12 x 100 and sewing 60 feet of it. A serger? They cut the fabric as you sew and finish the edge. You just need a sewing machine. Straight stitch.

Re: Placement of the camp?

JMS Welcome to ePlaya. First thing I would suggest that you go to the greeters section and introduce yourself. Then make a mental list of the things you will contribute to a camp. The good camps aren't interested in just bodies that pay dues. Can you cook or tend bar? Can you wield a hammer and saw ...
