Re: Building a temporary extension to a cargo trailer?

Maybe im misunderstand you. In my minds eye you leave one door closed and put a panel in to replace only the open door. Or do you have your heart set on expanding the area?

Re: Thoughts on this minivan shade structure idea....

Using bungie cords lessens your chance of the tarp ripping. Your paint will suffer. It will be a huge pita to get in and out of the van.

I bet there isn't a neighbors tent next to your genny. Please put it in the middle of your camp. NOT behind your motor home next to our shade structure. Thank you.

Re: Thoughts on this minivan shade structure idea....

A car rack can get ripped off of the roof if you attach a huge tarp to it. I would attach your foam blocks to it. You can run your ropes over the other side of the van and tie around your tires but the ropes will be in the way. It will be very noisy and may ruin the paint job on the van.

Jay you might tell us which department you volunteered for. You've been burning since 2010. I bet you've run across some of us as a greeter, working in Ice, Center Camp cafe, DMV, emergency services, ranger, Gate. Do tell. I'm sure we know you.

What a beautiful bike piece. That plastic is Coroplast or sometimes called plasticore. It's most often glued but you can no doubt find 1,000 projects online to help you with construction.

Personally, I have some saved for a voodoo lounge event. I'm making low alters when the time comes.

Liquor and cigarettes shouldn't be left unattended. Cell phones may be irresistible to a thief. We put everything away when we go out. At night we leave some lights on in our tents and shade. They're solar so might as well put em to good use. Mainly we don't have anything to steal.

Thanks Campmaster. I'm trying to wrap my head around those figures. Not a big jump in the amount of theme camps. Just larger camps. They really are squeezing the open camping area to the outskirts. The smallest placed camp is 50 by 50 feet. Looking at the map, there aren't many that small. Thanks ag...

Of course we want you to volunteer but time flies out there. You spend 2 days wandering around. 2 days trying to buckle down and figure it out. One day stuck in camp just because. Then it's burn night and time to party and cry about having to wait a whole year for another event. Go to the volunteer ...

Leo, take the time to set up your tent, pin some nylon fabric over the vent and sew it in place on a sewing machine. Then cut off the extra fabric. You won't regret it. don't bother with glue or velcro. Been there....

Re: Thoughts on a Coleman Instant Cabin 6 Tent

If you can get a look at it online or in person you can tell if it'll work. External poles or fiberglass poles with a place to attach ropes or straps. Peg it down securely and rope it on each side to rebar or lags. You'll be fine. Maybe. My tent is a few years old. I replaced the fiberglass rods whe...

I've ridden on any art car I see when I'm wearing my See's candy uniform and have candy to hand out. It's not always a blessing. Sometimes you want to pee or go somewhere else. I prefer my bike.

I got them! $24 for 16, zinc, 16 inch by half inch. I don't know why he ordered 16 of them. I wanted 25. That is the regular price. Including tax. Out the door. $1.50 each. Golden State Lumber. All over the SF bay area. The threads only go up 8 inches but thats plenty. Check one thing off my list.
