Yes. It's real place. Look around the perimeter of Barbie Death Camp and Village. Please stick your member in the hole. It makes it all worthwhile for the rest of us.

Hi Airmoc. I love your sense of humor. Please jump over to the Greeters thread and tell us more. Where you live, all the volunteering you've done on the playa , etc...Oh, and how many people you camp with. See you in the dust.

This is not where you will find a pottie map. Go up to the top of the page. Go to the burning Man web page and search porta potties. Open up a few threads until you find an email address for someone who knows. Probably sanitation.

Re: How much shade do two Costco carports offer?

Here's my carport experience. If you face the man then the wind will be at your back. (If you are anywhere near 6:00 street.) We put on one side panel for the prevailing wind. You are either going to have morning or evening sun coming in somewhere. Leave all the sides rolled up and use as necessary....

Re: OK or not: DJ-style "dancing" bike-mounted laser?

This is from when lasers were first banned. ... As of 2015, handheld lasers are not permitted at the annual Burning Man event in Black Rock City. Mounted lasers are only permitted on art pieces, Mutant Vehicles and in theme camps if they comply with specific restrictions. Your bike can turn over and...

Put you soups and instant foil wrapped foods on the dash in between the glass and a silver windshield shade. Hot food from 2pm to 7pm.

Wow. Sorry that happened to you. It's kind of weird that your entire camp is yellow yet everything around you is green. Even the street was clean. Oh well. It's burning Man. Anything's possible.

Token. You mean any old phone that hasnt been hooked up to a service in 5 years will still call 911?! If so, why arent these handed out to every old person as a safety device? I volunteer at a charity that has literally a dumpster full of them.

Sparr, Can't you let anything go and just be thankful for the generous gift? If you just wanted to play some music and keep your lights on, then just do whatever you've been doing at the burn for a week. Batteries, generator, solar. A free camping spot is a gift. Most people have great things to say...

DSM welcome. Look on the right of your screen. It tells you where the poster lives. You need to reach out to your locals. Go to meetings. Help with their art projects. Being neighborly and helpful is the best way to score tickets.

Re: Flat vs Peaked Canopy

If you leave the legs off of one side of your carport it will have a flat roof. This is easily set up by one 65 year old lady. Make and bring a suitable 'stick' to prop up the flat sections of your roof in case of rain. We've done it twice in the rain. Works like a charm.

I hope it's going to be done up like a walk-in at a bar. We'll all sit on ice cold cases of IPA and Coca-Cola. Otherwise count me out.

Oooo. You could make it look like a 'Roach Motel'. (The insect catcher, not the national motel chain.)
