Season's Greetings
Whatever you might be celebrating this holiday season, the best to you.
And, of course, have a healthy, happy, burning 2005.
Oh, and if you have a decorative, ceremonial tree please to be safe and avoid torching your home. ;~)
Sincerely,
burning tent (no my real name)

This sounds pretty cool.
How the city is put together, taken apart, stored, etc., was something I was thinking about every time I trekked through and around it. It must be a massive undertaking. P.S. I hope you didn't change your avatar due to my comment on how hot the old one was. (Yes, it's all about me. ;~) No creepy off...

Hi, I'm a student at Carleton U in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I'm doing a project on "The Burning Man" and would like to throw out a few questions to those of you who have attended: Hello ... ehhhh. ;~) 1) What are the major ways that Burning Man differs from typical western society? i.e. no commerci...

Crumb is a funny name.
It's really amazing to read some of Kominsky-Crumbs work where she's talking about how she grew up obsessing about how her butt was too big. And when you look at pics of both of them and compare to self portraits and portraits of each other. . . It's astonishing what talent can accomplish in simult...

But on my life I recently saw a woman who looked like she walked straight out of one of his comics. The only thing missing was Mr. Natural pinching her behind ... a behind that had somehow been crow-barred into a pair of shorts seven sizes too small. I would say she looked most like the one in the t...

What is "it"?
All meaning is arbitrary anyway... connect a symbol to it, and all you have is the symbol. The thing is the thing. Experience it, don't experience it, it remains the same. If it is simply the symbolic representation (written or verbalized memory) you have reduced the thing in your perception. Huh ....
