New to Hexayurt
Hi, I am looking to go hexayurt this year. I want to either build or buy a 6' stretch hexayurt. Can anyone help me with the following questions: 1 - Is it possible to buy a hexayurt (used or new)? If so where? 2 - Did anyone build a 6' stretch last year? If so, what was the approximate cost? 3 - Whe...

[Yesterday alone I sold 12 tickets online @ $1200 before fees]
How did you get 12 or more tickets from the lottery?

Re: Dear BM LLC
"Scarcity's a bitch. You'd have been 10 times more screwed if it was just done as a first come, first serve open sale like last year." BULLSHIT. Last year I didn't even know if I was gonna attend until the last minute. July rolled around and I still got a ticket. Bmorg generated the scarcity and th...

Re: Lets start talking about how to fix this
The whole ticket madness could have been easily solved by doing this instead... #1: Same price, no tiers. Make the tickets all the same price. If your money is so tight that you cant go because you need to save $80 on a ticket, then you probably shouldn't be going in the first place. (get a job) #2...

1 ticket per person non-transferable non-refundable at 1 price Name or picture of buyer printed on ticket. ID checked against name on ticket at gate. If a person feels like gifting a ticket then that person can give the person they are gifting the ticket to the money to buy the ticket instead of a t...

Got the rejection letter. Feel like crap. Really wanted to volunteer and help out with a camp instead I get to scramble and hope i get a ticket. Seriously, how could you not see ticket hoarding with this lottery? 1 ticket per person non-transferable - would eliminate all of the hoarding and the scal...

Re: Next year: non-transferable tickets?
I believe non-transferable tickets is the way to go, sold first-come, first-served. If someone can’t go, they can only sell it back to bmorg (or via bmorg), which will sell it and transfer the name. This should eliminate issues from... *scalpers (as they can’t transfer to buyers) *people buying mor...

This system sucks. First come, first served is always going to be fairer - and based on last year vs this year - MUCH less time consuming and stressful. To stop scalpers PLEASE consider using the system that Glastonbury festival in the UK uses - participants register with a photo. Their photo, name...

If there are 50k+ tickets and 1,000 show up in the hands of scalpers, that is less than 2% of all tickets that end up with scalpers. Do you really think it is worth the added burdens and problems with non-transferable tickets and the issues with the added record keeping to avoid that 2%? Trust me, ...

non-transferable tickets, which I know plenty of people (including most moderators) have many reasons why not to use this.. but I 100% think that the only way to keep people in check, is to only allow people to purchase tickets for themselves. After a combined total of 26 years on playa - my husband and I have not been invited back to BRC this year. Somehow this doesn't beat waiting for 8 hours in a ticketing queue where I know I'd eventually get tickets to be on playa. Yes I agree completely I would rather wait for eight hours and event...

So lesson learned from this year's lottery sale: Do not sign up for only the tickets you need. Sign up for the absolute maximum you can afford on your card and ask your friends and relatives to sign up for the maximum they can afford in so that you increase your odds of getting tickets and as an add...

Yes I am freaking out. Last year I spent 4-5 hours waiting for tickets online. I was happy to wait and happy to get my tickets. This year I get to sit for 48 hours watching updates of people getting tickets. Perhaps every part of my attitude will change if I am lucky enough to get a ticket. But, rig...

Re: Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread
Seriously why could they not have done one ticket for one person at one price? Make it unable to buy multiple tickets. Have tickets tied to your name and id so they are non-transferable. Last year, I got on the site as soon as it opened and waited a few hours to buy tickets. This year we're penalize...

Re: Now that the lottery failed ... here is a suggestion
My solution: Only allow people to buy 1 ticket. This ticket is not a paper ticket. The ticket is an electronic ticket that is attached to the credit card or id that you submit. This id is scanned at the gate by card reading devices (the same type they use at other major events). If someone does not ...
