Re: Dont have a camp? Join us!!!
Hey there,
Virgin coming solo with a monkey hut, tent, and car. As long as it's not gonna be too far from the jots I'd like to join too. Will add myself to the spreadsheet when I get home.
Has anyone volunteered to make a sign? If not I'll throw something together.

Discount lights
Just a heads up that Grocery Outlet marked down a lot of summer stuff including solar led lights.
Got a 50 led strand for 5 bucks and there is (depending on your store) lots of other lights too.

Re: ePlaya Meet and Greet 2013 - What are you doing?
GF stuff is too expensive ($4-7 a loaf, $5 for four bagels) to experiment. I work at Grocery Outlet and our bread is brought in from Franz. Every so often they bring us a selection of 2 or 3 different GF breads for under $5 a loaf. Don't know what part of the country you're in but if you have one n...

So.... I wanna try my best to not be shy and come. Honestly, you all will be the closest thing I have to knowing anyone at the burn.
Seeing as I've probably only read pages 1-5 and 25-30 of this thread I don't know what I should (or shouldn't) bring. Is there a list or is it not quite that formal?

Re: Freestanding Hammock Design
Thanks for the write up! I use a hammock instead of a bed and tentatively my plan is to do the same on the playa, between that wikihow and your experience i'm hoping it'll be fairly straightforward. When you said EMT may not of been the best choice, was that just because of it being in a yard? Also,...

Re: Another hammock question
You use a hammock as a bed in ordinary life?? . . . Do go on. In the past 3 years I have gone through a brand new bed, about 3 different air mattresses, and a recliner. Couldn't find anything that didn't hurt my back (recliner wasn't so bad) and got fed up. I had been joking about just getting a ha...

Another hammock question
I have read a couple of the other posts about hammocks but they didn't answer my question. I want to sleep in a hammock and am wondering if a monkeyhut is going to be enough of a shelter by itself? I'm not so concerned about the dust or anything like that, its just that I use a hammock as my bed and...

There are also motorcycle touring blogs that have information on blue highways. Didn't even think of that, thanks for the lead. Redding is best seen in the rear view mirror. IMO. I've been through that area a couple times and I wholeheartedly agree. It just so happens that the In-N-Out there is the...

CA-299
Was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with 299 between where 139 meets up with it and Redding? I'm coming from western Washington and would like to go through Redding and straight up I-5 on the way back. Didn't really find anything searching and the wiki page is not much help either....

I know the BMOrg was out to get me. They hated me from the start. I pretty sure those security cameras in my house are new, and that my phone is tapped. Larry Harvey has access to the Patriot Act and he's not afraid to use it!
Wait a minute.... you say none of that rings a bell?
My mistake.
