From a friend who has a bit of insider information who passed along this tidbit... "Just copied this from the blog-o-sphere... This guy's " friend" called. He and 2 other friends entered a total of 40 times for 2 tix each. 80 tix. They got 18. He went to BM last year for 4 days. He intends to sell ...

I wouldn't flood them with complaints, they're just the worker-bees. They are well aware of the stubhub and other reseller outfits, it is the individuals who need swatting. Thanks for stepping up! Yeah ... I spoke with someone directly who was offering to sell me tickets. It wasn't via stub-hub/e-b...

Help me report scalpers to BMORG
I found some scalpers I want to report ... How do I do it? I keep hearing that we need to contact BMORG and let them know ... but there doesn't seem to be any easy way to do this. I've made it my new mission to find and report every scalper I can regardless of whether or not I get a ticket. And I'm ...

A new concern about scalpers that should be shared
So regardless of how many tickets got into scalper's hands there is one new major problem for anyone even thinking of buying a ticket from them (and I highly suggest that you don't). Since the tickets won't be sent out until June any "legitimate" scalper with a single ticket could "resell" that tick...

If tons of camps get axed this year from lack of tickets then maybe the old idiom will finally be true "Burning man was better last year". We should all just collectively sacrifice one year of Black Rock Desert to the frat boys, spectators, and scalpers. So that they all have a terrible time and nev...

@Karma_cat - the pre-sale worked, identically to the way the main sale IS WORKING NOW. Don't take this the wrong way, but you've got a flawed understanding of success and failure here. The purpose of the process wasn't to have tickets for everyone, or to limit the number of registrants - that's jus...

The scarcity of tickets could be fixed if the population were kept in check. As mentioned, banning RV's will alienate a large segment of ticket buyers. Banning nudity will keep both the naked people and the people who want to see naked people, off the playa. Raise prices to keep the less affluent h...

I agree with Beach Bum ... isn't the whole point of this thread to avoid negativity? And yes ... there aren't enough tickets for everyone. But the design of the tiered lottery made the scarcity problem MUCH MUCH worse. Don't believe me ... check out the smoothly run pre-sale lottery. Only difference...

Anything that results in more people going to will call is likely to be exceedingly problematic and slow down the entries. Also, that's where you do need an id, with reason. Let's just stipulate that anything that slows the line down is a non-starter? Well anything that would majorly slow down the ...

@Karma_cat - I think you may be on to something with the tiers causing people to register in different ways. I can certainly see the logic in eliminating the tiers (I've only gotten a tier 1 ticket when I've bought it off another burner). However, I think a lot of people would be upset if there wer...

I have seen a ton of RV’s and Party buses that are just there to spectate. The tourist buses are huge eye sores… and most of the people are not on vibe with the culture.
