Re: Interesting interview with a scalper

Ya, that is because you can still buy tickets online. If you couldn't buy them online at all, wouldn't that help the deep pocket automated buyer? (EDIT: err, I mean NOT help :-) I know that even in-person-only sales can be compromised, I bought tickets to a KISS concert once that only allowed in per...

Re: Interesting interview with a scalper

Whatever happened to lining up at Tower Records, Music+, The May Co. or any of the other physical ticket sellers? Do any such places still exist? Re: STEP has launched... but server crashed immediately

Every other person whose ever worked in an IT department or said hello to the IT folks in their company all claim to have the experience to resolve the problem of handling the crush of on-sale demand with hot ticket events. If that were the case, then why in the world aren't you making big bucks at...

Re: STEP has launched... but server crashed immediately

It is working, after getting the "save" button a few times and having the connection reset after hitting it, I finally got a confirmation page. It just has to wade through a great many connections.

Re: New Blog - Ticket Update: Rebuilding Black Rock City 201

As a virgin who has been attempting to get a group together to go to burning man oh, the last 15 years or so, I only scored 2 tickets of the 4 we needed. However, I have closely followed the event for as long as it was possible to follow it online. As long as there was a web cast of the event, I hav...
