Re: STEP Experience thread 2016
Not sure how you do it with other mail clients but Gmail seems to be the most popular / easiest way of seeing it....that is if your confirmation mail went to a gmail account. Im sure there must be other ways of seeing it in other clients You click the little drop down on the top right of the message...

Saw those myself, also a couple youtube comments where they're discussed & the opinion seems to be that they're made from sub standard materials & dont last as long

Anyone used one of those Laysac/Laybag type things on the Playa?
Strongly thinking of getting one of these for this years burn, any experiences / reviews? Finding it hard to get comprehensive reviews online (beyond videos of people filling them up)....mainly interested in how long they really hold air in for, comfortable enough to sleep on etc https://vimeo.com/1...

Re: STEP Experience thread 2016
lol dont dare mention the dreaded timestamps or certain members will lose their head  I remember back in 2012 when I last depended on STEP (it's first year) that was a big thing, opening the full code of the emails & deciphering the order according to the time your STEP mail left the server, as...

Re: Satellite Images of 2012 Burning Man
Wetransfer will only allow you to upload and email the link to one person. Does anyone know a good host that will allow general sharing for large files? In this case, all the Sat images I have combined into a .zip is about 1.5GB. Or does anyone have a FTP they are willing to let us use for a few we...

Thought nothing ...

I completely freaked when I logged in & saw this, as we're in same situation, managed to get 4 tickets from STEP between 2 of us & now one of us possibly might not be able to go.....did a double check on the FAQ though & its there clear as day: Q: If I buy a ticket through STEP, but then can’t go to...

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
No one claimed that time stamps predict days or times when people will receive tickets, just the general order in which people will receive them...at least the minute based ones do anyway, therefore they do stand for something no matter how much the mods try to say otherwise

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
The timestamps are guaranteed NOT to be in order. . It's a plus or minus several minutes thing. I bet you a thousand dollars that with a 12.14 timestamp I'll get offered 2 tickets before someone who's got a 12.15 or 12.16 within the actual code of their email....the 12.16 from FB is clearly from so...

I would imagine the 12.16'er on FB hasnt delved into the code of the email - mine reads 12.15 but when I do the "see original" thing in Gmail it tells me Im 12.14:32 so I'd say hers was prob a 12.13 leaving the server but just took a while to get to her inbox Hopefully this next week brings a host o...

Hi everybody, I have been lurking on this list for quite some time now, riding this roller coaster along with you, watching and waiting and learning quite a bit. Thank you. I am in the STEP program, and (although it means nothing) my time stamp is 12:09:20. I seem to be an anomaly in the time stamp...

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
How could gmail have posted it time stamped 12:14:32 if the servers didnt bang it out till 12:15:20? Gmail/BM Server running on slightly different clocks perhaps? Does it really matter? It's not like everybody's server is time-synchronized to the NIST atomic clock's WWVB signal. heheheheh BBadger t...

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
if you look at the source of the email you received (In Gmail it's called "Show Original" and is located in the dropdown menu in the email itself) you'll be able to see the time the email has exited the BM servers. mine for instance is tagged with 12:17:00, the time I recieved my Email is 12:17:56....
